Chapter 20 - Epilogue

Writer's POV

Every person has a way of dealing with loss, sorrow, and pain. Everyone's ways are different and everyone needs a different period to get over it. Some people don't ever get over the loss.

It was now almost one month after Andrea sacrificed and lost her life for her family and her children's futures. The funeral was done and now everyone was trying to deal with her loss differently.

Her in-laws were sad and proud of her at the same time. They dint take her death's news easily. Her mother-in-law was devastated while her father-in-law was mourning as if he lost his daughter. Which he believed Andrea was, his daughter. Slowly they were trying to cope and accept her absence.

Conner and Lucy were living with Andrea's family for the past month. After Andrea's death, Conner and Lucy decided to stay there for some days. Conner was messed and was blaming himself for not protecting Andrea. As a brother he thought of himself, he was drowning in guilt for not keeping his promise to always keep her safe. While Lucy lost her best friend from whom she learned so much. Conner and Lucy named their daughter Rea, after Andrea's death.

Sebastian and Rose were crying for their mother every day. Seeing their mother's absence was hard on both of them. Andrea's mom-in-law and Lucy have taken care of both of them. Telling them a story that their mother was now with angels and will always look at them from the sky. And that they won't see her again ever but they both hope they do. They wish their mother was with them to love them like she always did.

Jason was a different case. Even after one month, he felt lifeless without his love of life. He even believed that he would never be able to love anyone as he does to Andrea. And won't even think about any other women. His love for Andrea was out of the world.

After almost two weeks he found out a letter Andrea left for him. And he loves her more than ever after that. He was unable to overcome his loss. He lost his best friend, his girlfriend, his wife, mother of his children's and the only love of his life. He believed when Andrea died, he died with her. He was only there physically for his family. But his soul and heart were gone, with her.

Andrea was gone but with her, a small part of everyone's life was gone. But with time everything and everyone heals. The void will always be there but you learn to live with that and learn to accept the reality of life.

Andrea's life was short but she lived it to the fullest. She experienced the worst but also the best. She had nightmares but also dreams. Every story has it is bad and good.

Life is an experience of all emotions. life teaches you every lesson and shows you every emotion in its way. Everyone experiences it but always in a different way.

***

The letter Andrea wrote for Jason.

Dear Jason,

I love you. I am sorry you have to read this letter. If you are reading this that means I am no more. I am gone.

I am sorry to leave you all behind. I am sorry to let go of your hand. But I had to, you know I do.

You are the only person who knows all about me, who can read me and understand me like a book. You know me inside out.

You are my support and stone. I believe you will handle everything nicely. You will raise our children strong and amazing just like you. You will take care of mom and dad. Tell Conner that I am grateful. I had him when I needed someone. Thank him for taking care of me. Give my love to Rose and Sebastian. Tell them their mom loves them so much and will always be there with them.

Do not blame yourself for what happened. Don't feel guilty or don't lock yourself up. Don't isolate yourself Jas. Our family needs you I need you to take care of yourself as well as our family. I need you to be strong for our babies.

When they grew up, tell them our love story, tell me my story. When they fall in love, remember to see us in them. When they get married, give them extra blessings on my behalf on me.

I hope you understand why I did, what I did. I hope you forgive me for leaving you and breaking my promise to not leave ever. I am sorry, Jas. Please don't hurt yourself or blame yourself for whatever happened. I wish I was there with you and our family. But I guess my faith had other plans.

Just remember where ever I am I am free and at peace.

Without Jason, there is no Andrea.

Always remember I love you.

Your Crazy head,

Andrea Grey.
