I tried to be strong so I stopped crying. I was getting tired of being the damsel in distress while our enemies laugh at us.

Missy came when I asked her to. She was with me ever since we were young so I was sure she wouldn't betray me. Her father worked with Jonathan so we both knew he wouldn't help us. It would raise suspicion if we ask him about the Trekker Clan so we decided to keep it to ourselves.
"I know it's silly to ask you, but how are you?" Missy asked.
My lips started to tremble and I was going to cry again. I felt my heart ache thinking about Jayden. I kept on thinking about how he was at the moment. Was he tied up? Blindfolded? Was he getting tortured? Different images of him being beaten and tortured were making me crazy.
"Be strong, Peggy. He did it for you and Caden." Missy whispered.
