She was definitely losing her control over herself. When did she become such a dim-wit? Anyway.....
Yawning...
"Boring....!"
She was stunned.
"I would have been surprised a little even if you faked that you were having a baby."
"You..."
She wanted to say something. But I switched the position and pushed her against the wall.
I held one of her hands over her head and made sure she wouldn't go away.
I proceeded.
"So, it's my fault? And what about you then? Who's fault was it that I'm who I am now?"
I had no intention of holding back. Two people can play this game.
"Don't play the blame game and victimize yourself, It's a two-way street. Either we both are equally guilty or none of us are! That's how it is."
I placed my hand on her chin and lifted her head, our eyes met and her pupils' dilated, while I tried to feel for a pulse in her hand, but I was clueless in that regard. Wasted.
She tried to resist at first, but soon she stopped. What was she thinking? I could see the tear-filled eyes looking at me as if they were trying to give a message.
While the agony-filled, grumpy kid was trying to get back to his feet, I didn't hesitate any further.
There was intense tension in the air as I put my other arm at the back of her hip and pushed her forward towards me, and our lips met.
It's safe to say that no one was expecting what happened next, and neither did I.
Yuki-nee pulled me closer on her own and didn't let go of me. What was supposed to be a surprise, the short kiss turned into a deep french kiss!
Realizing what she had done she pushed me away, flustered for a moment.
"What are you doing? Do you have a death wish?"
I took a step towards her and smacked her forehead with my finger.
"Idiot! You knew about my case and yet you played the blame game, trying to provoke me. What's wrong with you?"
Well, if anyone were to be surprised, it was me.
"What else could I do?"
Fair point.
She turned her face away from me, flustered, again!
"The reason why you did all this, it's because you're running away from me, aren't you? At least that's what I think."
She didn't expect me to say those words as she turned towards me.
"You've changed."
"Have I? Well, what can I say? You're not the only one who's had a guilty past."
"What do you mean?"
"NEED NOT TO KNOW"
Meanwhile,
"You...."
I turned back to see the slave finally on his feet.
" I challenge you."
"For?"
"A battle! You've insulted our master and touched her with your filthy hands and kissed her with your filthy lips. Your existence in its entirety is just filth."
Oi, have some courtesy for other's feelings. Will ya?
From the corner of my eye, I noticed Yuki-nee clenching her fist as he humiliated me.
He still had something to say.
"I'm going to hurt you, humiliate you, and make you regret everything!"
Regret?
Bold words.
Clearly, he's talking nonsense at this point, but the atmosphere around us changed. Everyone's serious.
"You...!"
A girl stepped forward.
"After what you've done, it serves you right that you fight for your freedom."
"My freedom?"
"Yes. You're going to make it up by trading your freedom in exchange for our Mercy."
"I impolitely refuse."
"You can't! Once a challenge has been declared by one party, the other party has no other choice but to accept it."
"Pfft! That's absurd."
"You don't even know what this school actually is? Why am I not surprised!"
"Well, isn't that obvious? "
Yuki-nee sighed from behind.
"I'm sorry but you dug your own grave. GOOD LUCK! Though I doubt it'd be of any help to you."
"Wait a minute!"
I pulled her by her arm.
"You bastard. You've been accused guilty of the crimes, and yet you're still laying your filthy hand on her!"
The slave was losing his sanity.
"Shut up will ya? I'm already guilty, right? So it doesn't make much difference either way."
I turned towards the queen.
"So? I have no other choice?"
"No!"
"But isn't this unfair?"
"How?"
"I'll have to wager in my freedom as repentance, but he doesn't have to put anything on the line? That's unfair."
"So, what do you want ?"
The slave barged in.
"If you win, I'll tell you my name. Consider that as mercy, though you'd never ever get that chance."
"I refuse!"
It was a no-brainer.
"Huh?"
"I'm putting my freedom, something you don't have! Put something valuable on that scale."
"What do you want!"
"I want a date with her, the girl behind you, who's clearly offended by my conduct."
Silence.
"How dare you! That's it. I've had enough of you!"
How many times can a person snap without breaking down?
"I accept!"
A voice cut in.
"If you win, forget a date, I'll be your girlfriend!"
"But if you lose, You'll be my Slave, not her's!"
"Is it fair now?"
Everyone was stunned.
That was truly out of the realm of my expectation.
"I asked for a date, not a dominatrix!"
" My, my! Seems like you already know your fate."
"Fine! A date to the beach with my girlfriend doesn't sound bad."
"Then, it's settled!"
The queen decided to cut in.
"4 PM. The Gymnasium. Boxing Ring. 3rd Floor.
You better not run away."
She warned me.
"Do you want to add anything?"
She asked the duchess, that's what I like to refer to her as.
"Lumberjacks. Both from Class A and K."
"Done!"
That was fast.
"Now disperse!"
Everyone followed the queen.
Whispers were flowing behind my back.
"I hope you realize what you've signed up for?"
"What's done is done. No point in thinking about it now."
"Hope you enjoy the last few hours of your freedom."
I chuckled at that gesture.
"Did I say anything funny?"
"Yes, indeed!"
"What part?"
"The part about my freedom."
"I don't think it's funny."
"Well, I do!"
"You're awfully confident!"
"Isn't it obvious? In a few hours, I'll have a girlfriend with whom I can go to the beach for a date and enjoy myself."
"You're delusional! That's absurd! There's no way..."
I just walked past her. I had no further interest in this matter.
"Where are you going?"
"Are you sad that I'll be her slave and not yours? Anyway, The Queen shouldn't stick around with a peasant. It's bad for her reputation!"
I exclaimed those words and went away.
I took a bun and juice from the cafeteria and headed upstairs to the terrace. That was my usual place at my former school.
It wasn't supposed to be open!
I thought to myself.
I entered the terrace and was welcomed by the strong breeze at the top, with the clouds covering the sky.
But I was caught by the silhouette of a beautiful girl, her hair let loose while her eyes were set on the far horizon.
I decided not to make a fuss and walk away before I heard a voice.
"So what are you going to do now?"
The girl turned towards me while using her hand to stop her hair from covering her face. She tied up her hair in a ponytail style, I hope that's the one.
She waited for my response, but I was not expecting to see her!
"Sakura?!"
Never thought I'd utter her name again.
SAKURA KUSANAGI.
YUKI-NEE'S BEST FRIEND.
AND MY PERSONAL BULLY!
This couldn't have gotten any more complicated.
Sigh!
