As soon as Alex was inside the barrier, he put the vial of blood into his Soul Space. It disappeared into the Demon realm, flying directly toward something he hadn't made use of for a long time.
"Playground, are you there?" Alex called out.
The giant tower that was once the Sundering Sanctum of the Southern Continent had been spinning around the Nine Yang Divine Tree, emulating the cycle of night and day for all things.
Alex had put it to that work for as long as he had been an Immortal, and finally, he had some other use for it. A use that perhaps he had been neglecting for so long.
"I am here, master," the playground spirit spoke up. There was no hatred in its voice, no suppressed anger. Despite being put to do something for so long, it had done so without any animosity.
Maybe that was partly due to being a spirit bonded to him, but Alex was still a little surprised.
