Chris opened his eyes slowly. There was a lightbulb hanging on the roof, at his side there was a jug full of water, some antiseptics. His body was cover with a blanket and some parts of the hands were protected with Elastoplast. He got up. There was a wooden door in front of him, floors were made up of marble, windows at right got transparent, clean, and clear glasses. Outside the window, there was ground cover with green grasses.
The door creaked, entered a woman wearing greyish scrubs, with some paper on her hand and stethoscope around her neck. "How are you feeling?" she said. "Is it good now?" "I don't know what are you taking?" Chris said.
"So, you don't remember anything."
"No, I don't."
"Your legs slipped, you fell and crashed your head on a pillar. And now you are here inside the school medical room."
"Is everything fine doctor?"
"No need to worry you are completely fine."
He got up and went toward the notice board as it shows the room where the classes are.
Chris went inside the elevator and pressed 5 as his class was on the 5th floor. The button showing 5 glowed and above those buttons, there was a screen-like thing that read five.
The door opened, someone was waiting for the elevator. Chris got out of the elevator and headed toward his class. The hallway he was going through was huge. At the end of the hallway, there was his class.
Chris enters his class and at the last desk of the left corner, there was Zayn, opening his bag. Chris saw his watch and it read 9:00 am. There was still time for the period to start. He went to the last sit.
It was his first day at college as the half-year class was online. Most of the students don't know each other. Teachers do not know students.
It was lunch break so; Zayn and Chris were heading toward the cafeteria. As they were going down from ladder he saw the same tik-toker girl coming out of a class. She was his senior. She looked charming in uniform. He could not take off his eyes from her.
"Today I cannot go home with you buddy," Zayn said.
"I have to go alone then," Chris said
Chris got a bus from the bus stop. He climbed the stairs of the bus and turned around to find a sit. She was there. The tik toker girl was there. There was an empty seat next to her but due to shyness, he went to sit just behind her and turned head toward the window.
The driver started the radio. A program in which people say quotes was being broadcasted on the radio.
"Today my heart is attached to someone, attached to a stranger."
The program transformed the atmosphere from creepy to romantic. Chris leaned his head against the glass and watched at her and then he was lost in his thoughts.
"This is a truth that there is some spark in the interaction you will also get mixed in just 2, 4 meetings. There was some connection with you for centuries. It was destined that I will meet you. If you think that this journey has ended, then it's not like that because surely it is the start of a new journey."
Until this line was finished she was already gone.
