Once a hunter caught a lion cub from the forest. The cub was very young and drank his mother's milk. The hunter brought him to his house. The hunter's children were very happy to see the little lion and they started playing with it.
After a while the lion cub got hungry, he was so small that he didn't know anything to eat, only milk was his food.
The hunter was worried about what to do next. Because he knew that the lion cub was still very young and could not drink anything but milk, a trick came to his mind. Left with his goat.
The goat also had small children.
The lion cub soon mingled with the kid.
When the young goats went to the mother for milk, the baby lion would join them. In this way, the baby lion began to grow and grow with the young goats.
He was slowly painted in their own color. He looked like a lion, but all his habits and traits were like those of a goat. In this way, the lion cub grew up with the cubs, so he was a lion. But he was not as brave as the other lions, but as a coward.
One day the village was attacked by wolves. Since the hunter's house was near the forest, some wolves entered the hunter's house. The hunter had gone somewhere at that time. The wolves attacked the young goats. Suddenly their eyes fell on the lion and they started running away in fear but when they saw that the lion did not roar or attack them. So their courage increased and they tore the kids off.
Although the lion cub had become a big lion, he did not have the same abilities as the lions. He stood and watched everything and could not fight them. The wolves attacked and went back and the lion stood there.
When the hunter returned home after a while, he was surprised to see that despite the presence of the lion, the wolves attacked and tore the goats apart and the lion could do nothing.
He was very shocked. He had left the lion cub with the kid, thinking that he would be of use to them in trouble, but he did not know that he would lose his abilities while living with the goat. If he had lived in the forest with the lions, then he would have been accustomed to hunting like them and would have been as brave as them.
The hunter thought that the lion was useless while living here, because it could not even look after or protect its animals, so there was no point in staying here, so why not return it to the forest. Leave it so that while living with his companions, he may develop the same brave qualities as him. Thinking this, the hunter took the lion with him and left him back in the forest.
