Around 1000 years ago, an angel was said to have descended upon a village.
The villages there worshipped the angel as a God.
Pleased from the efforts of the villagers. The angel decided to fulfill their wishes as a parting gift.
However, with many humans, came many wishes. Wishes became desperate cravings.
The angel realized the true form of human nature,
"Further, you yearn. Further, you accomplish. Your gift. Your curse. Accept it all."
After saying those words, the angel disappeared.
However, years after, the angel disappeared. Some of the villagers started to develop supernatural abilities.
After decades of research, people concluded when faced with a desperate situation or overwhelmed by emotions. The descendants of the villagers can manifest supernatural abilities.
That is one of the possible explanations of why people started to gain abilities.
No one knows what really happened.
However, it was precisely around 1000 years ago when the first awakened appeared. And the 1000 year war of bloodshed started.
And, now, somehow, I am involved in that bloodshed.

Taking out a can of beer, I drank it.
My body felt brimming with life, like I had been reborn.
Then I wondered,
Holy! I awakened!
I lived with a motto, "To panic, is to error."
And currently, I was somewhere in between panicking and excited
"AHHH" After hitting the pillow a few times and crawling here and there in the bed for a while. I calmed down
The reason for panic was simple. I always looked at the lives of others who awakened and thought, "Is it worth it?". Now, my life was going to be similar to theirs. Not that I did not want to be a hunter..there was just a scary feeling about change.
The reason for the excitement was also simple. I awakened! What could be more exciting than that?
And not just any ability...but the ability to travel back in time! Or something like that, not sure yet.
I encountered the Monster in mid-noon, and currently, it was morning.
I am sure I returned back.
Another thing, I remember my very soul trembling when I first encountered that thing. But now, I barely remember how it looked. As for "my very soul trembling," I remember it as a sentence, not as a feeling. Everything that happened before I awakened, even the near-death experience, I cannot remember how I felt. I can recall the events but not the feelings. Why? Some form of safety lock?
So, at this point, there was only one thing I could do.
Research.
I hopped off my bed. Closed the Television. Took my laptop from the table and hopped back onto my bed.

I rather not get involved in that situation. The fight between the hunter and that Monster should start and end at noon. My apartment is quite far, so I should be safe. Hopefully.

But I continued to watch the video and heard many explanations.
Once that was over, then it was a waiting game. I opened the TV and listened to the news while staring at the clock on the wall. As soon as it was 1 O clock, I planned to rush to the hunter association.
After 15 mins….
Shook!
The bed shook.
I gulped.
The shaking stopped
I looked at the TV. The reporter looked frozen.
Then, I looked at the clock. The clock arms had stopped moving.
Exactly like before. Time had stopped moving.
I closed my eyes and took few breathers.
A thought came to my mind.
Why was I not affected?
Was it because my skill was also related to time?
If I remained unaffected because of my ability, what if my ability also didnot affect him?
What if the time reset, but he remembers what happened in the former timeline?
I gulped
And simply looked at the clock. Waiting for time to move again
My legs fluttered.
And heartbeat increased as I kept gazing
