The alarm blares loudly in the small apartment, jolting Kate out of her sleep. She groggily lifts her head, squinting against the bright sunlight that fills the room. With a sigh, she rolls out of bed and trudges to the door, wondering who could be knocking at this hour. When she opens the door, she is greeted by the smiling face of her dear friend. Despite her exhaustion, Kate can't help but return the smile, and she invites her friend in. Settling down on the couch, they both talk as the morning light slowly fills the room. Kate takes a deep breath, ready to start the day, and grateful for the company of her friend.
*why is there so much noise? *
She feels the bed for the phone, but it's on the bedside table. She takes it in her hand, and she notices the time, it's 9 in the morning and at 11 she has a visit at the hospital.
Jumping out of bed, she slings, still with yesterday's clothes, opening the door, behind which Sophie is definitely there. hopping on one leg given the wrong to the other foot, which after yesterday's madness has certainly worsened.
"I wrote to you last night! Didn't you see the message?" Sophie says, entering, and closing the door behind her. "Sorry, but yesterday I was destroyed, in the end I listened to you. I change jobs." "Here this is good news. Anyway where do you have to go? I'll take you with the car, since I'm going to work."
"thanks, I need a lift to the hospital. I have a check appointment."
"Okay, let's have breakfast." says Sophie with a bag from Sturbucks in her hand.
Jin is in a car traveling on the streets of the city.
"Find me the information about her next appointment."Jin says to his assistant, who is in the front passenger seat. "Her... Who?"
Jin looks at him crookedly. The assistant smiles slightly.
"Okay, I get it... It looks like today is her appointment, at 11 o'clock."
*Perfect, I can meet her again*
"Let's go there," he says in a tone of voice that makes it clear that there are no discussions about it. And the car speeds away, in the direction of the hospital.
"Yes, but let's hurry."Kate answers, going to her room to get ready. She opts for a simple black tank top, with flared jeans and a pink cardigan.
All accompanied by a black shoulder bag. Her favorite. Her foot is hurting very badly.
*I hope it hasn't gotten too bad, and I still have to get a job*
The two young women eat quickly, because among so much chatter, time passes.
They come out of the apartment building, and the car is already in front of it, so that Kate does not make more effort. So the car speeds away on the roads, but they are busy. "Bye! See you later! And tell me if you need a ride!"
She greets her friend, who flies into the hospital.
"Bye!" Screams Kate in return.
The car goes back on the road.
*ahhhhh. I'm late! Better if I take the elevator!*
But it does not make it in time, so the best option is to take the stairs.
*Can I know who decided to put The orthopedic department on the fourth floor!?*
Kate is about to climb the stairs but is taken in strong arms all of a sudden.
"Ahhhhh," she yells.
"You don't need to scream, it's me," says the male voice belonging to the person holding her.
It's Jin. Finding this god come down to earth is more than a surprise for Kate. She didn't expect to meet him again so soon.
Looking back on their first meeting, there seems to be a new atmosphere around them. Everyone seems to disappear.
"What are you doing here?" she says with a scowl, her voice tinged with suspicion. He is dressed in such an elegant manner that it seems almost out of place in this humble area. "Are you following me?"
"But does it seem possible? I was just worried about you," he said moving dangerously close to Kate's face, but she's not easily impressed. Though the people around were staring as if they were jealous. Instead, Jin's assistant nearby smiles, pleased with the change taking place in his boss's heart. This being the first time he's seen him take the lead with a woman.
"I'm already here, you're in my arms, you might as well keep calm" Jin says in a serious tone, almost scary; and starts up the stairs.
"How is it doctor? Has it gotten much worse?"
Kate asks the doctor who is treating her. "Miss, what did you do? You certainly know that for bravado the healing times actually are lengthened, which is quite significant."replies the doctor, sitting down at the desk in the room where they are. he signs a couple of papers, while continuing to talk and scold his patient.
"I'm sorry to tell you, but you have to rest for another two weeks, you seriously risks a fracture." He advises her gently, "you're not supposed to run around." She agrees. The doctor's office smells like antiseptic and mint gum, and she can't help thinking that she's in an expensive hospital room somewhere. She remembers going out of the doctor's office, then it's black. Her head pounds from the painkillers they probably gave her. She wonders if she's going insane. It feels as though the entire world she knows is spinning slowly out of control. The room is quiet, maybe is because it's night. Probably.
*what the hell happened? how...?oh...nooo,no*
panic rises in her chest, she doesn't know what happened, and Sophie is probably already looking for her, giving her missing or kidnapped. Or worse. Killed.
*Where the hell is my phone when I need it?!*
"Are you looking for this maybe?" says a voice. a man in front of the door of the room, which in the meantime has been opened without her even realizing it. The feeble light of the corridor, behind the man, gives the whole situation something macabre and comical at the same time. Kate already given the difficult situation she is in, does the one thing that everyone would do if they were in such a situation. She screams.
"Aaaaahhhhh!!!"
