Two days later, true to her words, Helen sent out invitations to her and Eli's closest friends to attend a small get-together at his home. Unfortunately, Helen did not get a response from Isabelle early enough for Isabelle to plan the party seeing that she was a party planner. Isabelle responded to the message one and a half days later so Helen went ahead to plan the party herself.
Even though it was a party for close friends, Helen knew how much Eli hated having others in his home so she kept the party on the main floor where no one should be looking to go upstairs or outside in his backyard. They should be happy a loner like Eli even suggested it would be held here.
Eli was watching Helen like a hawk with her planning, placing food items or decorations so much, she almost felt like taking the party back to her apartment. He was the one to suggest the party and now he was moping around sulking about having people in his home. People who are his friends!
