"Aren't I miss popular these days," Helen said, adding Jennifer to her call with Julie. "Sorry I disappeared after the bathroom, Jennifer. I got tired of the party."

"I don't blame you honestly. I had sort of a good time for the rest of the party," Jennifer whispered, closing her bedroom door from prying ears. After the party, her father's anger hadn't simmered down and her mother joined the conversation.

"You need to settle down and find a good man," Her parents tried to argue but by good man, they meant a wealthy man and a lot of the men they were recommending weren't shit.

"Sort of?" Julie questioned swinging around in one of her salon chairs. "Are your parents trying to set you up with someone again? How much more money do they need and this fast to be pushing you into a relationship? Is your family going broke, no offense?"
