Helen sighed, tossing her feet over the side of the bed without waking up Eli. Her past would not allow her to escape it no matter how much she tried to forget. She stood up off of the bed and walked towards the balcony in Eli's room. She would rather enjoy the view from the balcony and relax rather than trying to go back to sleep.
Eli's balcony had the perfect view of the lake behind his home. One day she might just take a swim in the lake to clear her mind. Eli should set up a bench so they could enjoy a picnic by the lake.
Helen yawned and thought, 'I hope I remember to tell him about the bench in the morning.'
She took a seat close to the edge of the balcony. Tonight wasn't as cold as most nights thankfully and she was out of position from the cold air. She looked out at the large beautiful tree in the middle of the lake. Helen had always wondered what kind of tree it was but Eli never had the answer.
