"They haven't gotten out of their car to see if I'm alright. Careless and rude assholes," Helen muttered seeing as no one was getting out of the black sedan car that hit her. Unfortunately for them, they bumped into the wrong person today.
"Hey assholes, get out," She loudly said as she approached the car. Helen went to the driver's side of the car but before she could knock on the window a man jumped out of the car. "Oh my gosh that scared me," She muttered taking a few steps back. Why didn't he get out of the car before she approached it?
"I'm so sorry. I really should've been paying attention when I was driving as my boss said. Please forgive me for hitting your car," Noah rambled off apologetically. If he had his eyes on the road as Eli told him to he wouldn't have crashed into another car. He was in shock the moment he hit her since this was his first car accident. He had so much driving experience that Noah believed he could dodge a fly on the road. "I'm truly sorry. I'll pay for the damages right away."
"Well, at least you acknowledge it. Most people would've straight up denied it. You should really watch out for other cars. You could cause a serious accident one day," Helen scolded the petite-looking man. "Let's hope that serious accident isn't with me."
The sound of a car window rolling down interrupted their conversation. "How much longer Noah?" Eli questioned with his eyes still closed. He wanted to go home as soon as possible and have a drink. He had enough of being out today and wanted to go home so he could be free to relax.
"He's just apologizing for his mistake right now. It won't be long," Helen leaning over to see the man in the back of the car. He had a rich aura emitting from his body.
"And we're sure it was one hundred percent Noah's fault?" Eli added.
Helen squinted her eyes at his comment. "What do you mean if we're sure? You guys hit me and he already admitted to his wrongdoing. You're in the car, you must already know he was the one in the wrong. No need for denial."
"I'm in the car but as you could see my eyes are closed so I didn't see what happened. For all, I know you could've hit us," Eli said truthfully.
"You little.." Helen trailed off keeping the many bad words she knew to herself. She placed her hands on both sides of her hip and turned around to mutter some words he wouldn't be able to hear.
Eli smiled hearing the words coming out of her mouth. She sure had a foul vocabulary.
Helen turned back around with a forced smile on her face. "Look mister, if I was in the wrong I would have admitted to it. If your eyes were closed when the accident happened, continue to keep them closed and just shut up. This is between me and this fellow right here."
"When something happens to someone all of a sudden you hear how much of a good person they are, isn't that right Noah?" Eli asked, dragging his friend into the mix.
"Y-yes," Noah quickly agreed but folded his lip when he saw the expression on the woman's face. Noah coughed looking away from the terrifying woman. Why did it feel like Eli and this woman were looking into a mirror? "Why are you dragging this Eli? I already apologized," Noah cried on the inside.
Helen glared at the man in the car. He was ticking her off the more he spoke. "I don't have to pretend. I don't feel the need to lie in a situation like this. Your car hit my car and this guy," She said pointing to Noah, "Already said he was sorry."
"You could punch Noah and he would apologize for it," Eli said as a matter of fact. He had tested out this theory many times before and knew not to believe when Noah admitted to doing something.
"Why the hell are you dragging this out?" Helen wondered out loud. It seemed like he had somewhere he needed to be so why was he ticking her off? She wished he was the typical rude rich man who would just throw her money and drive away. It was clear they hit her so what was the point of denying? She didn't feel like going through the process of calling her insurance company and just wanted to resolve this with a simple apology.
Noah also wanted to know why Eli didn't just let the moment pass.
Finally opening his eyes, Eli looked to the woman who had been cursing him under her breath. He felt it was also her who was also in the elevator sick earlier. She was a complete hothead. "I'm just verifying who was in the wrong."
Helen looked to Noah and nudged him to repeat what he told her.
"It was my fault boss," Noah admitted once more. "I'll pay for any damages I caused if you give me your number. I'll have the money sent to you by tonight."
"It's fine. I don't need the money and the car isn't that damaged. Plus I don't want anything to do with the two of you," Helen said, side-eyeing the two men but mostly the asshole in the car.
"What did I do?" Noah questioned wanting to know what he did to her. He was a great person to have around.
"You hit my car with your car!" Helen exclaimed motioning to the two cars which were still connected.
"Right," Noah remembered the situation. He guessed that was enough reason to avoid someone. However, Noah believed in fated meetings and felt they would run into this woman again. He only wondered if this was his fate meeting or maybe, he took a quick glance at Eli who remained with his classic bored expression. Noah smiled excitedly for what the future prepared for them. Maybe Elaine could stop the hunt for a wife for Eli but there was just one issue. This woman was human. Could she enter their circle?
Noah looked at the fire temper woman who reminded him of Eli. She didn't seem like the type of person to not back down from a fight. Maybe she could be the first human to survive their circle?
"Why are you smiling at me?" Helen questioned Noah who had been smiling at her for a solid minute. Was he a creep?
Noah coughed, removing the smile from his face. He must've seemed like a weirdo in her eyes, wait. He definitely was a weirdo in her eyes based on how she was backing away from him.
"I have things to do at home Noah," Eli said, making his presence known when Noah and the woman were getting ready to converse again. "Say goodbye to the spitfire next to you and get in."
"I would love to beat the hell out of him-"
"Haha, please don't say that," Noah chuckled nervously knowing Eli heard what she said. It was best he got Eli out of here before this woman became his next victim. "Have a good day."
Helen angrily stepped aside when Noah got back into the driver's seat. The man in the driver's seat waved her goodbye before he backed up the car. "The heck is he so happy about?" She whispered. "If I ever see that bastard again, he'll get a piece of my mind," Helen said watching the black car drive off. "My whole day has been ruined," She muttered, going to get into her own car.
In the car with Eli and Noah, Eli sat back in his car thinking about the woman who cursed him to the moon and back under her breath. He smiled at a few words he had never been called in his lifetime. He was almost certain if she could get into the back seat of his car she might've strangled him.
He had dragged out the crash because one thing Eli couldn't resist was playing with someone like the cat with a mouse. Toying with them until they reach their breaking point. To see them break in front of him was the fun part. However, today this woman did not falter.
Humans were becoming even more bold day by day.
"Should I be worried?" Noah questioned seeing Eli smiling in the backseat through the rearview mirror. There were just some people in the world who shouldn't smile.
Whenever Eli smiled Noah got more of a terrifying feeling rather than happiness. One moment Eli could be smiling then his hands would be covered with your blood and you realize he was just smiling at the thought of finally getting to you. As long as the smile wasn't for him Noah could care less. He just pitied the poor soul who Eli was thinking about.
