"Are we all set to go now?" Wesley questioned his father after Eli left them and went inside. It was late and cold with the air biting at his skin. It was time for them to leave but his father just wanted to stand and stare at Eli's home as if Elaine would come outside. The woman was not here so why not just leave? Wesley did not want to wait by Eli's home any longer after Eli just ordered those men to shoot them both in the head.
If Eli's men start aiming their guns at both of them, Wesley was going to leave Charles all alone. It was Charles's idea to come here, Charles could die alone at Eli's doorstep. Common sense would've been to show up with his own handful of men. Even if Elaine was here tonight, what made Charles think Eli would just hand her over to him?
