"How romantic," Helen commented, sitting in Eli's living room watching his mother's things be brought in already. When they returned to his home, she was thinking they would have time to themselves but then some men knocked on the door and brought Elaine's things in right away. Was tomorrow going to kill them or something?
She placed a spoon filled with rich vanilla ice cream in her mouth and watched from a distance as Eli organized his mother's things into different corners. He really did not miss a second in messing with his father right away. How Eli managed to do this in an hour after a rash decision of sending his mother away was beyond her.
"Weren't you anti-romance? Why are you sulking?" Eli asked, looking at some of the items they packed for his mother. The documents from her office were the most important things since he could buy her new clothes and other items.
