"I am not running away. I simply want to go home," Helen replied, struggling to pull her hand out from Eli's grasp. Why couldn't he let her go home and clear her mind and then they would talk later. "Let me go, Eli. I want to go home right now."
"If I let you go home right now I would just be indulging you in running away and I won't let that happen anymore. You are staying here tonight so take a deep breath and calm down. I don't care if I have to physically force you to stay here."
"I told you the idea of having you chain me up here isn't funny," Helen spoke with her head down, giving up on her attempt to get away from Eli. She knew by the seriousness in his voice, she was not going anywhere so it would be useless to continue putting up a fight and waste energy.
