Later the same day, Helen returned to her apartment after a long day of doing work at Essence. She had been frequenting her apartment less and less partially because she had been staying at Eli's home a lot more. It was time she came back to her apartment to relax and do a bit of cleaning.
The conversation with Elaine today had also worked up Helen's nerves. She knew Elaine would probably be digging into her background right about now. All Helen wanted to do was enjoy her relationship but other people kept doing things that were uncalled for.
She started to quickly unlock her apartment door knowing her nosy neighbor was probably peeking at her through the peephole on the door. This was why she didn't care to visit her apartment too much and was starting to consider moving. On her way up John, the security guard was grinning at her like he just heard the juiciest bit of information in the world about her.
