Chapter 24 - URGES

Daniel helped Josh to the car while Jessica helped Sabrina. They placed them at the backseat before they entered the car.

Jessica was staring outside the window when she heard her phone ring from her bag. She checked her bag and saw her phone. She stared at the phone screen without answering it.

Daniel noticed he still heard the phone ringing. He looked at her and saw her staring at the phone. "Is there any problem? Aren't you going to pick it up?"

She smiled at him. "Yeah its from my clinic. I'm just hoping its not about work. I'm so tired." She answered the call. "Hello?"

Her face immediately became dark. "I will be there. Daniel please stop the car."

Daniel parked the side of the road. "What's wrong?

She looked angry. "My clinic called. I am so tired." She grumbled before she came down from the car. "Thanks for tonight guys. Please take of Sabrina and Josh."

Daniel chuckled. "You have energy you know. Don't worry. Please be safe."

She smiled. "I will." She waved at him before the car drove off. She looked at the car till it was out of sight. "They are good people." She sighed and went to the bus stop.

Daniel reached home. He looked at the two people at the back who were fast asleep. "This is going to be stressful." He sighed and ruffled his hair before coming down from the car.

He went to the door of the house, opening it before he went back back to the car. He picked Sabrina up first in bridal style. She was light. He easily carried her to the house laid her on the couch.

He went back to the car and stood still, looking at Josh. "How will I carry this giant now?" He cracked his neck and fingers, ready to carry Josh. He placed Josh's arm on his shoulder and brought him out.

"Ah he is so heavy." He placed Josh back  Into the car. He massaged his neck due to the muscular weight of Josh's arms. He had no choice but to wake him up.

Josh shook a bit and blinked his eyes multiple times to see clearly. He still couldn't see clearly. "Why is everywhere so blur?" He came out from the car to the house staggering.

Daniel followed him from behind to make sure he didn't fall. "Careful bro."

They both entered the house. Josh froze when he saw Sabrina lying on the couch.

She was still in the knee length black dress she wore for Mrs Williams burial. Her dress reached up to her thighs when she moved.

Josh cleared his throat before averting his gaze from her body. "I will go rest inside." He was still drunk so he needed to sleep.

Daniel watched him go upstairs trying to watch the steps to avoid falling. He looked away when Josh couldn't be seen anymore. He easily carried Sabrina to the guest room again. He tucked her in and left the room.

He looked upstairs again. Seeing that his job here was done, he left the house to go home.

While Daniel drove off, a car that was far from Josh's house watched Daniel's car drive off. The man who had a scar from his right eye down to his jaw, picked up his phone and dialed a number.

"The blonde one just left the house." His voice was so deep and rugged.

"Okay. Tell me more when you find out more information." A lady from the other line replied him.

"Sure ma'am." The call got disconnected from the other line. He threw the phone on the passenger seat and drove off.

She dropped her phone down and smiled. "You can't fool me Josh."

Josh couldn't sleep. He didn't know why Sabrina was I his mind. It always happened when he was drunk. "I feel like this anytime I'm drunk. Its not right." He got down and left the room to the kitchen.

He wanted to go back when he saw Sabrina there. She was drinking water. She shook her head a lot. She couldn't see clearly till now. She was still drunk.

She saw Josh who was staring at her with his bloodshot eyes. She stood there also not moving. Any step of hers, she will fall. She was feeling drowsy.

They stood like that, staring at each other for a while. Josh decided to make a move. He walked towards her.

Sabrina felt her heart skip a beat. He stopped right in front of her, covering her with his towering figure. She closed her eyes when she perceived his vanilla scent from his body. She loved the scent from his body. She knew she will have his scent in her memory.

Josh looked down at her closed eyes. Her lashes were really long. He noticed her face was red, making her freckles darker. She was right in front of the fridge. He didn't take his eyes away from her as he opened the fridge and took the bottle water.

She felt his body closer to hers. She wish she could just cuddle him forever.

He drank the water and placed it back in the fridge. He still didn't remove his eyes from her. He stepped back a little.

She didn't feel the heat of his body closer to her anymore. She opened her eyes slowly and didn't see him in the kitchen anymore. "Where is he?" She shrugged and left the kitchen.

She knew she was in Daniel's house, but she didn't see him around. "Maybe he is sleeping." She wanted to go home. She looked at the time and saw it was ten in the evening.

She looked upstairs and decided to go there. She climbed upstairs slowly. "Daniel?" She called out his name. The house was really big. And she was only upstairs.

Josh heard her voice from the room. He opened his eyes. He heard her call Daniel who had already gone. He came out from the room and saw Sabrina who was about to knock on the door.

"Sorry Josh. I can't find Daniel anywhere. I want to go home. I don't feel so good in this outfit. I've been wearing it since morning."  She really wanted to sit down. She couldn't see clearly and she was feeling sleepy.

Josh didn't know what to tell her. Daniel wasn't here. "He left."

"Left?" She wondered why he would go out again. "I don't think I can go home myself. I don't feel so good. I thought he could take me home."

"I can take you home." Josh said.

"Ah, no no. We are both drunk its obvious. I will spend the night here." She smiled and turned to go back to the sitting room.

"You can have my clothes after you take a shower." Josh suggested. "Since you aren't comfortable. Wait." He didn't even wait if Sabrina will or will not agree. he went to his wardrobe walking slowly, looking at the floor carefully, because it wasn't clear. He took a sweater and boxer.

Sabrina watched him go inside and come out with one of his clothes. They looked so comfortable that she couldn't say no. "Thank you." She collected the clothes and went downstairs.
