I woke up in the hospital . "Rene ! Are you ok ?" Dad and Ben were sitting next to me. As soon as I woke up , dad ran out to inform the others . "I'm a Berthim ! Why did you bring me here ? Couldn't Cora heal me ?"
Ben sat on the edge of my bed and talked to me , " You fool ! Why did run up to Fredrick without checking first ? Also , did you forget about the existence of tunnels and areas forbidding magic ? We don't want you to die . "
I nodded my head and explained what I saw . It was only after I talked with all of them that they understood how Maria changed into Fredrick . I was still trying to stay distant from the others because I couldn't trust them . Beth said , "It's ok . It's only Fredrick that's effected by Jay's demon . All of us can't shape shift and then act together . " I laughed a little and nodded .
I looked at my stitch and thought to myself . Do I trust myself that easily ?
The doctor came to my room and examined everything including my heartbeat . "Your heart beats in a different rhythm than everyone else . You sure that you have no diseases ?"
I nodded my head . It wasn't like I could tell him that I was supernatural and that was how a supernatural beings heartbeat is supposed to look like , right ?
Apparently , after I had passed out , the shape shifting made Fredrick fall into pieces of powder . Jay was also in a lot of pain . Cora had transported all of us to quiet entrance for the hospital so that we wouldn't be noticed and went in . I was bleeding a lot and was mumbling random stuff . I didn't remember saying anything but I guess people do stuff when they're unconscious . I was passed out for 2 days because of the sedatives .
They hadn't had time to move out of the hospital . Dad had to rush quite a lot because it was time for his blood intake and he didn't want to leave my side . I was happy that everyone was worried for me . I was also happy that Jay's cover was out . I spent two more weeks in the hospital before being discharged . The cut was deep so I could barely move around because of the pain . I had to take many sedatives and pain killers while the others tried to see if Nate had made a move or something .Jennie stood by my side the whole time while telling me that Fredrick had kidnapped her too . I couldn't believe that she was also there . She was in one of the rooms that were locked . I made it my goal to go back to the place and free the rest of the prisoners .
Since we had kidnapped Jessie , Cora went to Jay's house and checked for Jessie in the attic . It was not at all a surprise to see nobody in it . He must've just played a loop video that was a very good transition that seemed way too original .
He was a fraud , and a very good liar . After I'm much more better , I want to settle my scores with him .
