"You! You're Fredrick's son!" I freaked out . He had the same nose , as well as eyes of Fredrick . Fredrick was one of the most influential people on the internet .
"So what if I am ? You're the one who bought me here after shooting me , am I right?" The nurse was still there and listening in shock when she heard him say that and she slowly pulled back from the room .
"I DID NOT SHOOT YOU ! I SHOT ANOTHER MAN!" I shouted back at him . "GIVE ME ONE GOOD REASON TO BELIEVE YOU !" But when he shouted , his injury must have caused him pain because he clenched his chest with his hand . I didn't realise that he had already sat up in between the shouting so I made him lie down . While he rested, I told him about why we were actually there . Of course , I excluded the supernatural part because I didn't want him to think of me as a freak but I told him that I wanted to kill those people who tried to frame me .
He looked half-confident and half-hesitant but agreed to work with me anyway . He called his driver and told him that he was not coming back but he was going to be safe , for "safety reasons" . I wanted to laugh at his excuse but I couldn't because he was already doing this to work with me . I needed him to find out his enemy , as well as those cowards who can't take responsibility for their own actions .
His chest was injured quite deeply . The bullet they fired probably had it's power low or else he wouldn't have made it out alive . He was discharged after putting some bandages and as expected , they gave him quite a but of charge . I thought that he was going to pay for it since it was no big deal for him at all , but he shamelessly gave me the bill and walked away .
"Look , that rich guy isn't gonna pay for this so give the bill according to my budget because I know that you increased the price or the government's going to know about the dirty work you do here when they're not on inspection ." It was all they needed to change it to a much cheaper price . I'll just have to find a way to make him pay me back .
Because I had ran all the way here , we had no car and there was just no way I could make him walk outside among all the people who already know who he is . "Hey you! What's you name ?" He was already a few steps ahead of me so I had to shout at him. Unfortunately , my stupidity bought attention towards us so I quickly ran over to him and covered him as much as I could . "I'm Benjamin. Call me Ben." He said in a deep whisper which made shivers run down my spine .
I slyly smiled at him and walked in front of him . Thankfully , I was able to hail a taxi and we went to my house . We reached home and dad came running towards me so fast that I got scared . "Rene ! You're all right ! Have you seen the news ? I thought you got hu-" I gave a small peck on his cheek and ran to the living room to check the news out .
Apparently , the place where we shot , our cars , as well as guns were caught . It was surrounded with those yellow lines with "POLICE LINE DO NOT CROSS" written on it . Th black gloves that I wore saved me from being caught by the police . Otherwise , I would've been turned into a killer .
Ben came in and walked around the whole house . He was rich but he acted like everything around was normal for him . He had beautiful green eyes , smooth, chocolate skin . A handful of his red hair was cut into short bangs and put on his forehead . He had his hair done . He looked like how we would imagine every rich kid to be , except his personality didn't match his looks .
I was going to shower because I had sweat all over me from running so much but dad kept on pestering me to tell him how I met Ben . I gave the shortest summary that I could possibly think of and went to shower .
The cold water fell on my body , soothing every part of them . After a while in the shower , I started thinking about random things and finally it led to my last talk with dad . I felt guilty because he had not come because I had told him to look after Beth . And now when he asked me what happened , I cut him off . I had a bad feeling about our relationship by now and I needed to make sure that it wouldn't ever go to bad terms .
I got out of the shower as fast as I could and was about to take my bath robe off when I saw Ben sitting on my bed . "Oh my god Ben ! Get out of my room !" I tried pulling him out but he didn't even budge . Finally I looked him straight in his eye and had a long staring contest . Both our eyes were watery but neither one of us submitted to our need to blink .
"Ben ! I told you the wrong room ! It's the room next door to Rene's room . Not her room !" Dad's voice made him blink and he said sorry and left . I didn't understand his behaviour but I left that doubt hanging in my brain and started dressing .
Dad was sitting on the sofa , watching the news of the crime scene and I felt an arrow pass through my heart . The pain that went through me when I saw him trying to find new information like that was so unexplainable. I almost forgot that he was a vampire .
Cora came in a little later , after she cleaned herself after my shoot . She went straight to Beth's room with some old papers but I left them to do what they wanted . I went to dad . "I'm sorry dad . I was just so tired ." He told me that he understood so then I explained everything that happened in detail to him .
An hour had passed and a fully wet Cora came running out from Beth's room and shouted , "The Kitsune is out of her !"
