"Rene dear ! Did he do something to you ? We only did what we did because we were upset ! We REALLY looked for you everywhere for these past years !" They were acting so innocent that I wanted to barf . I shook my head smirking them , confusing me . My blood was boiling with anger and frustration . I had been thrown out for something that I wasn't even responsible for . And now they're telling me that they were looking for me ? "Why would you want me if I'm someone else's daughter anyway ?" A normal person that had common sense would've told that it was because they had already learned loved me like their real daughter . But they , who were self obsessed monsters whose brains had probably ran away from their body , couldn't think of an answer .
"We - w-want you ok ?!" I laughed at hailey's answer . "If you can love someone who isn't yours , did you bother to find your real daughter ?" I knew the answer myself . "We kept tabs on her and found out that she was living a little away from us with a nice and warm family . We didn't want her to feel unwanted since we couldn't give as much love the people she was living with could give .I WAS relieved that they at least had a soft spot for their actual daughter . But they had still done bad things to others .
"You see , I found out my real father and to my surprise , he's a vampire ." Just as I said that , dad went near bob so fast and cut his cheek . The blood stimulated his vampire side to come out and it did . Both Bob and Hailey were shocked . Hailey suddenly took out her phone , probably to call the police or inform someone . "What are you going to tell them? That there was a vampire in your house going to kill you?" I laughed at my own sentence thinking of the officer who would have had to hear her say something as unbelievable as what's happening now as he would probably be a normal human with a miserable life but thanks to me , the officer doesn't have to bother with her .
"You don't have to bother the police officer you know?" I snapped my fingers to make the phone fly off far from Hailey and hit it onto the television in their living room , causing both the screens of the TV , as well as the mobile , to crack . She looked at me , horrified . "Are you even the one I looked after for 18 years ? How did you do that ?" Hailey asked since she could have felt her phone move on it's own accord . But the distance between her and the TV wasn't much so Bob didn't seem to be believing Hailey . "You sure it's her who made her phone go like that , not because your hand slipped or something . " He was clearly unsure whether to believe her or not .
While the both of them were busy discussing what happened , I realised Jayden was starting to loose his control . And I think they also noticed it since they were glancing at him now and then mostly to make sure that he wasn't causing any trouble . I didn't even bother to try and get him back to control but decided to watch and enjoy the next scene that was about to unleash in front of my eyes within a few more seconds of him trying to restrain himself . I also knew that once he would start feeding , he wouldn't be able to stop since he hadn't had fresh blood for so long .
He finally lost his control and ran over to Bob , who was already bleeding from his cheek . It was also then that I realised that Hailey hadn't checked his wound even once since he started bleeding . I guessed that they were not on good terms . I didn't want thoughts like those to interrupt my moment of victory and revenge . I really hated them before but I started hating them even more when Jayden let me know of the dirty business they were doing . Bob had tried to start running towards the front door but he was no match for Jayden's speed .
"You should pay for what you did to others before escaping you know." I stated to Hailey , who had slowly started to retreat back to the direction which I was sure led to the backdoor when Jayden had started to feed on Bob's neck after his feeble attempt at escaping . Just as she realised that she was noticed , she started running away towards the backdoor again . I ran , following her , leaving Jayden to finish his part with Bob . Even though Hailey was a thin and slender woman , it was clear from the way she ran that she barely did any exercises . I was able to catch up with her very easily while she had already started panting and was breathless . I caught her and gave a huge blow to her face .
"Leave me alone !! You're planning to ruin the reputation that me and Bob created with so much effort , aren't you ? " She asked . But her actions showed that she really cared about her face more than her reputation , judging by the way she was covering her face after just one punch which I was sure would only leave a nose bleed . "Don't worry Hailey , good people won't judge how your face looks when you're dead . But then too , everybody's evil in someway , including you ." I said like it was a fact so obvious . Her sobs were beginning to get louder so I said , "Crying isn't going to buy you sympathy . I already know the kind of dirty , ugly business you're doing"
I was starting to get irritated because of the increase in the sound of her crying . "For gods sake Hailey ! You're a 42 year old woman ! Stop acting like you're sorry for yourself that you haven't lived your life yet !" Well , she WAS acting like one . I held her by her hair and dragged her along the staircase upstairs . She was scratching , stopping herself , even tried biting my hand but thanks to my power , her powers were like a small chick moving around on my arm . I passed my Jayden and had a sent a wink , giving him the best of luck .
He was controlling himself from killing him instantly , and was draining him so slow while he was practically screaming for mercy with the small amount of energy he had left .
I reached upstairs and as I already knew where things were , went to the balcony and threw her there . I went in too and closed the door . "Please , I'll do anything you want . Just don't kill me Rene!" She was continuously begging me but my brain knew what kind of bitch she was so I took out my knife and cornered her to the edge of the balcony . I could see the stars hiding the darkness of the sky but I had no time to take in it's beauty and enjoy it . 'Perhaps after I kill this human monster ' I thought .
With a swift movement of my hand with my knife across her neck which was wet from sweating , blood started flowing down her neck , like a beautiful design , weirdly satisfying me . I smiled at her , seeing her life being taken away right in front of my eyes , her eyes rolling to the back of her head .
Her breathing stopped and I came back to reality . The person who had looked after me for 18 years was murdered by me . Was I perhaps turning heartless , or was the feeling I felt right now normal ? I didn't feel to shed a single tear and looked up at the sky which was showing it's beauty off to the whole world , even though not everyone would appreciate it's beauty .
After a few calming moments , I swiped my hands over her wide open eyes and closed her eyelids . The police would take this as a case but I wasn't afraid . Not caring about what other evidences would be left , I took the knife and headed downstairs . Jayden had successfully killed Bob and he lay there , lifeless , and completely drained of blood being pale as ever .
Both me and Jayden left the house after deleting the CCTV footage from their house . I had told dad about my feeling to kill Boss and he agreed to help me as much as he could . We left back home and slept after taking a bath immediately .
I was in the dark place again . Thankfully , I didn't have to stay there for a long time because I hadn't used that much power . This time was really different though . The usual whispers , as well as Samantha was not seen , or heard . Was this a type of world or something ??? Did something happen to them while I was away ??
I was panicking but was back in my bed again . The silence I felt there didn't feel good . I wanted to go back but I had to use my powers again . A really small bruise had come on my left arm again because I used my power two times . I didn't want to hurt myself badly by using my power uselessly . I tried going back there but I just couldn't go there . Assuming that I had to use my powers and need a recharge if I have to be able to go there , I went to Nathaniel's house , even though it was 4 in the morning .
"Why are you here so early in the morning Rene? Don't you have anything else to do at this hour ?"Nathaniel shouted from inside the house before opening the door . "Let's get to work , fast !!" I explained everything that happened to him . It was already 6 in the morning when he was ready to leave because he had to leave Harvey at the babysitter's place . I wasn't going to wait in his house until he returned so that we could go search for the witch so I tagged along with them .
We reached the babysitter's house . Each step that I took felt like they were trying to tell me that I would find something there . Nathaniel rung the doorbell .I looked at Harvey and he seemed excited at the thought of going to the babysitter . Maybe the babysitter was really good with children . The door opened and a 25 year old woman at sight was visible . She had blue bell eyes , smooth skin with freckles , her hair was light brown , thick and curly .Her hair had been frown till her waist and looked so attractive. She looked like a total anime character compared to me who had a thin , straight black hair which was up to my shoulders. I had boring brown eyes but they were really big . I had no freckles but my skin was most definitely not as smooth as hers . My features were just like dad's . I was the exact female version of him .
"Hello? Hello! You're his friend right?" The woman was talking to me while holding her hand out towards me . "Oh ! Sorry that I spaced out." When I looked into her eyes a millisecond before shaking her outstretched hand , I had the same feeling that I always used to have when I saw supernatural creatures .
Our hands touched and I started seeing images in front off my eyes again .
I saw a little girl which was probably the woman standing in front of me , assuming from past experiences . The little girl was in the woods along with other small girls her age . There was a huge flood and there were older men and woman in chanting positions and the water never came near the small children . The elder people were dead in the next one . The kids were separated from the city . She grew up in a house . Met someone her age . Both performed magic in secret . Both grew up . One of them was the woman in front of me and the other , I didn't know who she was but it was clear to me that both were witches .
But the next few of them were shocking . Both of them were slowly changing to a fox with each new picture . They were foxes too?!What was more astonishing was that one of them had 8 more tails than the second one!
I was back and saw Nathaniel telling me to take my hand and Harvey standing there , looking worried . Surprisingly enough , the woman's expression had changed from a friendly smile to a serious face . "I see that you've gotten hold of a Berthim , Nath."She said . "Come in , we need to have a good talk , lady ."
I didn't know why she was talking to me like she was way superior than me but since I was curious about her too , I went inside her house , followed by Nathaniel and Harvey .
