Elenor could hear claps and someone speaking loudly.
"It must have started already…"
She needed to hurry. Before they take most of them up to the stage.
This time, there were way more eyes and people around them which made it harder for her to execute her plan. Elenor took in a deep breath calming herself down.
She was fine. She can do it. She wasn't the only one here.
Elenor glanced at Michael who was waiting for her signal. She shook her head.
She had to wait a while longer.
"Bring that one up first." one of the workers said, pointing at a figure curled at the corner.
Two workers walked towards the figure and carried it out to the stage. The figure was quiet yet it was a terrified look on their face as they were carried away.
"First one for tonight is a young child around the age of twelve!" the host announced cheerfully.
"Disgusting." Lloyd muttered under his breath while Alec had a dark look on his face but kept quiet.
The auction continued on until it was almost the end of the auction. Elenor was still in the cell with a few left. She was still waiting for the signal.
Alec checked the time on his pocket watch before leaning close to Lloyd's ear, "It's time your highness."
Lloyd smiled, "Finally, sitting here is making my butt ache already."
Lloyd closed one of his eye, his index and thumb finger pretending to hold the host's head as if he was about to squish it,
"Showtime."
A loud explosion went off causing the whole place to shake. Loud screams and voices echoed around in panic. Surrounding the area were soldiers, letting nobody escape.
Elenor who heard the explosion turned to Michael and immediately nodded. She easily removed the ropes on her arms and legs before helping the others that were still with her in the cell.
"Hey you! What are yo-" Michael easily used his hand and chopped the back of the worker's neck causing him to faint.
Michael wasn't the only one helping as there were other guards disguised like him. With the workers being distracted, Elenor used this time to free the people in the cell before hurrying to the other side where the ones that had been sold were kept at.
"Not so fast!" a worker who managed to escape from Michael and the others blocked Elenor.
She grabbed his arm and turned him over before knocking him unconscious.
"Stupid." she stuck her tongue out at the unconscious figure before rushing to the other cell.
She knew they didn't have that much time so she hurriedly untied the ropes.
"Go straight and turn right, never look back and continue running!" Elenor shouted.
The victims nodded frantically before rushing out the way she told them. She sighed with relief when most, if not all had escaped.
"Michael! I'll head out first to see if Lloyd and Alec need help!" Elenor spoke before leaving quickly.
"Be careful Lady Elenor!!" Michael shouted as he continued handling all the kidnappers and workers.
Elenor rushed to find Lloyd and Alec when a figure bumped into her causing her to stumble on her feet.
Quickly she tried to catch them but they were too fast for her. She was only able to see their face as the mask they had used, fell to the ground due to bumping into her before they ran away.
She was about to chase after them but heard a dreadful scream. She turned to see who it was. It was a lady who was dressed in a waitress outfit. A knife was pressed against her throat and the one who was holding it was a noble who was on the heavier side.
"Come any closer and I'll kill her!!" he shouted, glaring at everyone.
Elenor noticed it was one of the nobles on the document that Lloyd had shown her. Stealthily she walked over.
"I'll kill her! I'm serious!!" he yelled out.
The waitress whimpered in fear, tears were running down her face as the knife pressed closer to her throat.
"Shut up!" he shouted at her.
Elenor did a fast low kick causing the noble to fall on his back.
"Ack!"
"You know for someone who is almost ten times my size, you are quite weak." Elenor spoke, the knife that was in his hand was now at his throat.
He paled in horror. "Un-unhand me right this instance!! Do you not know who I am?!"
Elenor chuckled, pressing the knife further, "Of course I do. You are Count Clarke, am I wrong?"
"That's right! If you know your position you better release me right this instance!"
She laughed at the stupidity of this man. "Do you not use your head? Count Clarke?"
"How dare-"
"Count Clarke. One wife and more than five concubines in which you bought through the slavery auction. Not only that, those concubines you bought are all below sixteen and you have contributed a lot of money into this auction."
Count Clarke felt cold sweat rolling down his forehead as he heard what she said. Elenor knew he wasn't able to fight back.
She lifted the knife up before it came close to his face, stabbing the carpet instead.
"Tie him up." she ordered the guards.
She dusted herself up before looking around the auction hall. It was now filled with guards ordered by Lloyd. Their plan was a success.
"Milady!" she heard Alec's voice from a distance.
She smiled warmly, walking over to her butler. "I'm glad you're safe Alec."
Alec frowned, "Shouldn't I be saying that?"
"Then say it." she laughed, interlocking their fingers together.
He brushed the strands of hair away from her hair with his free hand before a soft smile was plastered on his face,
"I'm extremely relieved to see you are unharm."
"Hey I know you two are in your own bubble but we still got work to do here!" Lloyd called out to them after confirming most of the people at tonight's auction were captured.
They returned back up to the bar. Elenor noticed the gruffy looking man that spat on her when Michael was carrying her. He noticed her as well.
"You!"
Alec turned to Elenor who smirked evilly at him. "Hey didn't expect to see me again did you?"
She placed her hand on his shoulder, warming up her fist. "Well I have been waiting for this moment."
She swung her fist down but was stopped by a hand. She frowned, not pleased by the fact someone stopped her from getting her revenge on this guy who spat on her.
"Milady, you shouldn't keep dirtying your hands like this." Alec said, taking out a handkerchief inside his coat pocket and wiping her hands.
"Instead order me to do it."
Elenor sighed before nodding, "Fine but give him hell at least."
Alec cracked his knuckles and nodded, "Yes milady."
"Don't kill him!" Lloyd intervened but his words were barely taken into consideration.
The gruffy looking man was now black and blue from Alec's beatings.
"What did he actually do to you?" Lloyd questioned Elenor.
"He spat on me and slapped my butt." she answered his question.
"..On second thought, I think it's better if Alec beats him up half dead."
Once everything was finally over and settled, Alec brought her back to the carriage she had used to come here. He opened the door to the carriage and she walked inside it.
"I'll see you another time then." Elenor waved.
He nodded, "Yes, milady. Please have a good rest."
He closed the door and the carriage began moving. She removed her wig and changed back into her clothes she had worn before this.
She returned to her room without getting caught and fell onto her bed, fatigue washing over her. She sighed as she sunk into the comfort of her bed.
Now that this was over, she had to get Alec back to her side before leaving Vaidia or else he will be stuck here forever.
"But how…"
That was the last thought she had as she drifted off to sleep.
On the other side, Alec snuck back inside and cleaned himself up. The hallways weren't lit and there were no signs of life anywhere. He opened the door to his room and was about to walk inside when he noticed that he wasn't the only one there.
"Finally decided to arrive back? Alec."
