Rosina didn't say a word only looking at Elenor with an unreadable expression. Seeing that her point went to her and made it clear, she took a step back. As she was about to walk away, Rosina spoke up.
"I said, how does this have to do with that Lady Elenor?"
Elenor was about to speak up but Rosina beat her to it. "You don't bring danger to us and so what if you did? Isn't it clear that you are able to protect yourself from it?"
"Lady Rosina, you and Isabella will both get hurt because of me-"
"You don't have the rights to say that Elenor." Isabella spoke.
"We chose to be friends with you. We could care less about that stupid thinking of yours. Danger? You are the daughter of a marquess household, you have the power to protect yourself. You don't need to worry about me or Lady Rosina."
"You experienced it first hand of what just happened Isabella."
"Lady Elenor. These dangers you think you brought onto us aren't from you. Don't blame yourself for something like this. Even if the world is against you, we will stay by your side right Lady Isabella?"
"W-well if you insist on it."
"You two…" Elenor was truly speechless.
"..What if I told you the world was following a setting?" she muttered, clenching her fists tightly.
Rosina tilted her head to the side, "So what? If it was why not you don't follow it? You decide how you want to live isn't it?"
Her words stuck on Elenor. How could she have been so blind and dumb? Rosina was right. She is the one who should decide how she wanted to live her life.
Why was she so afraid? So what if this world was truly following the book, she was now the one living in it so she could do whatever she wanted. This was her life now. The world shouldn't dictate how she or anyone wanted to live their lives.
"Haha…" she couldn't help but laugh at her own self. She wanted to punch herself for not using more of her brain cells.
"Lady Elenor?" Rosina called out to her.
"Please call me Elenor, Lady Rosina."
Hearing this, Rosina's eyes lit up. "Then please call me Rosina!"
Elenor brightly smiled at her before nodding. Isabella sighed, folding her arms.
"Finally you stopped being depressed. Now let's get out of here, I don't want to be reminded of what just happened." she said with a frown.
"Ah Lady Isabella, you can call me Rosina as well!"
"I never asked!"
Elenor watched as the two kept bickering. Well, Isabella was one sidedly doing that. After that, the outing continued on smoothly only until the end of it when Rosina had left first, Isabella turned to Elenor and frowned.
"..I befriended my rival…"
Elenor didn't reply to her and instead burst into laughter causing her face to turn redder than before. Isabella smacked Elenor on the shoulder repeatedly but it didn't hurt as she used little to no strength.
"Stop laughing at me!!"
"Yes yes." Elenor replied, calming herself down before the two head back to her estate as Isabella's carriage was there.
Elenor glanced at Isabella who didn't notice her gaze. She had a blissful smile on her face. Elenor could tell she was happy because of today.
"Isabella," Elenor called out.
The smile quickly vanished and a stern look was shown, "What is it?"
Holding her smile and teasing back she continued, "Maybe it's time to move on from his highness."
Isabella frowned at what she said, "What do you mean?"
Elenor shot her a sympathetic smile, "You and I know what I mean."
Isabella sighed and looked outside, "I don't know. I still like him Elenor."
Elenor nodded, understanding where she was coming from. Although she wanted Rosina and Lloyd to get together, she did care for Isabella. She didn't want her to go down the wrong path and she didn't want her to be sad.
When they reached her manor, she got down first. She noticed her brother just came back as well.
"Brother!" she called out waving over to him.
Richard turned to the voice and smiled brightly before walking over to Elenor. "Where did you go today Elenor?"
"Just the capital, we went around a few shops and a cafe. Oh! We also went to this new bookstore which had really interesting books so next time we can go there together."
"That sounds nice, I can't believe you thought of me.." he said, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Who did you go with?" he asked, wiping away his tears.
"I went with Isabella and Rosina."
"Isabella? You made up with her?" he asked with surprised eyes.
Elenor nodded, "Yeah!"
Not long after, Isabella came out of the carriage but missed a step causing her to fall forward. Instinctively, Richard reached out and grabbed hold of her, protecting her from falling to the ground.
"Are you alright?" he asked, his face closed to hers.
Isabella blinked before quickly nodding, "Y-yes! Thank you… sir Richard."
He nodded and briefly showed her a smile as he helped her up to her feet, "Be careful next time alright?"
Richard turned to Elenor and patted her head, "It's good to see that you were able to make up with her. I have some things to do in the manor so I'll be heading in first."
"Alright, see you later brother."
He waved goodbye to the two of them before heading inside. Elenor noticed her friend was awfully quiet. She raised an eyebrow and turned to her only to find her with red cheeks and a love struck face.
'...Don't tell me..' Elenor gaped in horror.
"Remember when you said I should move on from his highness?"
"...Yes?"
"I think I just have.." she sighed sweetly, having a maiden in love look on her face.
"Isabella don't tell me you..-"
"Elenor I have fallen for your brother." she cut her off, turning to her with sparkling eyes.
Elenor nearly fell to her knees and cried in agony. Why her brother of all people?! She knew she had just jinxed herself.
'Wait-!' she paused her internal crying. If Isabella truly decided to pursue Richard that meant she wouldn't go down the wrong path.
'Sorry brother but you have to take one for this.'
"Isabella, I'll approve of this if you promise not to act like how you were with his highness."
Isabella nodded eagerly, "Of course! Sir Richard saved me from nearly falling down and breaking my ankles and face!!"
"..That is a very big exaggeration there but alright."
Isabella smiled widely, "Then you shall be helping me in getting together with your brother! I'll be coming here often then!!"
"...Fine."
'Sorry brother, you have been sacrificed.'
After that, Isabella left back to her estate. Elenor sighed before making a mental note to herself to buy something for Richard as an apology gift for what was coming.
