A week after Naomi and Seb's wedding, I was packing my bags to leave for Seoul because I had a lot of orders pending and of course to find what was going between Carsten and Anna. Naomi had already informed me about some new visitors who unfortunately could not attend the wedding and later had come to visit the newly married couple.
As I reached the lobby, I saw two familiar faces. One of them belonged to a beefy man while the other belonged to a pretty woman. I struggled for some moments to remember who they were when suddenly Seb turned towards me and called me yelling " Hey!!! Asteria!!! Look who are there?"
The man: I guess you don't remember us. Andrew. Remember?
me: Oh yes, yes. And you, young lady, must be Abigale. (pointing towards the woman)
Abby: Hey, don't call me Abigale. Call me Abby.
me: Yeah okay.
Abby: I want to confess something to you.
me: What? ( rather confused)
Abby: All those silly things that I did to you when we were in school. I am sorry for that. I just fell into the toxic friendship of Anna and Dylan. I didn't really like what they did. I am so sorry for that.
me: It is okay. We all were young and everyone commits mistakes in life. The important thing is you can realize your mistakes. ( putting my hands on both of her shoulders)
Sofia: And you know what, Asteria?
me: What?
Sofia: Do you remember, when Anna had stalked you and Carsten, clicked a picture and posted it on Instagram?
me: Yeah of course. How can I forget it? (I chuckled) And thanks to you for having that picture of Anna. That really helped.
Sofia: That's something I lied about.
me: What? ( surprised)
Sofia: Yeah, I hadn't clicked the picture. Abby had sent it to me. (she smiled, looking at Abby)
me: What?! Really!! Thank you so much, Abby. You don't even have to say sorry. You really did help me in one of the worst situations I could have ever experienced in my teens. ( I tighten my grip on her shoulders, giving a warm smile)
Abby: Really Asteria?? (She hugged me)
me: Yeah, girl. (caressing her back)
Andrew: Okay, what about me?
me: What?
Andrew: Leave it. I helped you and Carsten in everything, and this dickhead took all the credits. ( he playfully punched Seb in his stomach.)
Seb: Hahaha, sure you did "a lot". (he laughed)
me: Really?!
Andrew: Yeah...
me: Okay, we are really sorry. ( giggled)
Sofia: Aww... poor boy. Hey, don't you guys remember, he had a huge crush on Naomi. (she said and rolled out of laugher)
Naomi: Yeah, we do. ( she too laughed out loud)
Andrew: Okay...fine. Stop it now. (rather annoyed) I don't have a crush on her now... or maybe I do... ( smirked and rolled his eyes over Seb who in return glared at him)
Abby: Umm, Asteria, where is Carsten?
me: He left for Seoul way before.
Abby: What??
me: Yeah. But hey Abby, are you still in touch with Anna?
Abby: Yeah. Sometimes, she texts me. Like she just texted me yesterday.
me: Oh! Did she? What did she tell you? ( I am sure, my eyes had a clear hint of curiosity)
Abby: Umm nothing much important.
me: But exactly what?
Abby; She just told me that something is gonna happen. Something very big.
me: What-t is going to happen? ( I spoke in a mixture of nervousness and fear)
Abby: I exactly don't know. Maybe, she is getting married or something. And yeah, before a week, she texted me the word "VICTORY".
me: "VICTORY"? Now, what does that mean in this situation?
Abby: No idea. But why are you asking so much about her? Is she bothering you?
me: No-no, everything is fine. ( I tapped her shoulders) Thank you, Abby. ( she nodded her head)
All others resumed their conversation while I hiked back to my room. I locked the door and sat on my bed panting. I didn't know why I felt so restless. I was sweating heavily and my throat was parching up. My head started banging from inside and I felt dizzy. I buried my face in my palm and sat for a while. I was falling asleep from all these feelings of restlessness when a sudden beep awakened me.
The notification popped on my mobile screen showed up a message from Charlie.
Charlie: "Ma'am please come as soon as possible. There is an emergency."
