I could feel my pain fading away.
me: Thanks a lot.
R: You're Welcome.
me: You should... ( I was cut off mid-sentence)
R: Hey! wait. There was someone at the hall entrance...
Even I could feel as if someone was staring at us. I was feeling dizzy and wanted to go home. So I got up suddenly making Reece flinch.
R: What? Where are you going now? You aren't well.
me: Yeah, that's why I am going home.
R: Should I drop you?
me: No, thanks. I can go by myself.
R: Sure?
me: Yeah, thanks for asking.
R: I am always there for you. Just ask me when you need me.
I just simply smiled back and exited from the back exit of the hall. As I was approaching my classroom I heard all the students in my class laughing at something. I entered the class only to see Carsten throwing every mortal stuff out of my bag. He had thrown all my books and stationery items. The worst thing was he held my sanitary pad and tore it down into several shreds. I was deeply hurt. I could tell that he was doing this forcibly, while I saw Strahd laughing. Even Jason wasn't happy with this. I knew from the first. Strahd is a demon on earth. How can be one so insensible? I hated him the most.
I quickly grabbed all my books which were lying on the floor and put them in my bag. Before leaving the class, once for the last time, I turned my gaze towards Carsten, tears were already making their way from my tired eyes. Our eyes met, only for a second but then he turned his face away from me. I wanted to slap him right there. Such a silly boy. I was really angry at that moment. "Why can't you just try to understand?" was all I could mumble underneath my breath.
Everything looked so sad and dry. The sky, the trees, the lanes, everything. I was relieved that at least, nature is not that ruthless. I was walking, brushing my shoes against the rough road when I heard some footsteps intensifying. I turned back to see Austin walking towards me.
R: Hey!! You haven't gone?
me: No.
R: Did he do anything else?
I sighed and explained everything to him. He listened to me without a word. After telling him everything, my body became a little lighter and he dropped me at my home. Following this, every day those three lads bullied me and their way was getting way too harsh day by day. Sometimes they tore the pages of my books, sometimes threw chalks on me, sometimes put their legs on my way due to which I used to stumble and fall. Sophia, Seb, and Naomi were the people who helped me get through this shit. There was someone else too, Reece. I didn't realize, I was gradually getting closer to him. And then in a way to make Carsten jealous and make him regret his acts, I intentionally got more closer to Reece.
This shit went on for freaking five months and then came the month of February. All my friends were busy with arrangements for a party. That's when Naomi gave an idea of a secret Valentine's Day party. It sounded interesting and all of us were really excited. But there was something I wasn't happy about. Carsten wasn't with me, so with whom was I going to attend it? And it was indeed a great problem. So I asked Reece for being my partner for that particular night for I really wanted to attend a party. I hadn't attended any for almost a year. In a way, I could take my revenge on that stupid. Who knew my destiny was going to be completely reversed...
