Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

One day, almost after a month, I was about to follow my self-made timetable but it seemed life had other plannings for me that day. I casually entered the ugly building which recently was getting a rather nicer place. My impatient eyes were searching for him but he was nowhere to be found. I got disheartened as I thought he might remain absent that day.

I sat on my bench with a gloomy heart, hoping till the last minute for him to walk into the classroom. Our teacher walked in instead. She announced that she would be making a new seat arrangement that day and all the students needed to follow it. I was sad. I hoped he would come and the teacher would let us sit together but he didn't. Mrs Leeroy started making arrangements. She was just about order another guy to sit with me when suddenly there was a knock at the classroom door.

My face beamed up, even more, brighter than a full moon. It was him. He was panting like hell and sweat drops dropped from his properly set hair.

Mrs Leeroy: Umm so Master George, care to explain about ur late arrival?

C: Sorry Mrs Leeroy, my car was stuck in the traffic and I had to run some miles to reach here.

Mrs Leeroy: Nice story. Hope you secure good marks in your English writing skills tests too.

Arghh I hated her for this. He seemed so tired and I bet he wasn't lying.

Mrs Leeroy: I was just making a new seat arrangement, so you( Carsten) can have your seat near Ms Brown.

And at this instant, my heart literally skipped a beat. I was unable to breathe for a moment. It felt like a dream coming true. I was finally gonna talk to him.

As I glanced at him, he stood with his bag strap hanging on one of his shoulders and smiling. I was getting goosebumps and I could feel a lump getting formed in my throat. I was so nervous that I couldn't even speak.

C: Hey, hello!! I hope you're fine. So would you mind if I sit next to you?

me: Y-y-yeah s-su-sure, y-you can. ( still unable to handle my emotions).

C: Thank you.

me: y-you're w-welcome.( Why the hell was I stuttering!!!)

Gosh!!! He spoke to me. Was I in love? Of course, I was. The strong smell of his perfume sent a magic signal throughout my numb body. I just stared at him blushing to myself. The sweat drops travelling through his perfectly set hair and then through his smooth face, finally soaking his uniform.

C: If you don't stop staring at me, then I won't be able to concentrate on English... ( he chuckled)

me: Oh am, am so s-sorry. I was, was j-just...

C: It's okay.

He smiled as he looked at me.

The following days were going amazing. During lunchtime, I used to have my lunch with him. It was so much fun. He seemed really nice and humorous. But there was this one problem. I wasn't as close to him as other girls were. By other girls, I meant Anna, Abby, and Dylan. Those three bothered me a lot. Someone told me that one of them, most probably Anna had a crush on Carsten, which made my blood boil, every time I saw them goofing around him. Even Carsten seemed to be happy around Anna and her group.

I was super jealous of them and I got bad vibes too. Anna had a hint of evilness in her eyes. She had long hair just to bounce them when passing by him as if he would fall for her at that instant. She was weirdly annoying. She knew I loved Carsten and she was probably planning to steal him from me. I had nothing to do. Carsten didn't know me that well and anyway he would always choose Anna over me.

I had to do something or else I would lose him. And that's when I felt I was the luckiest girl to have Naomi in my life...
