Yeregard knew that doing this was his best option to battle against Archer as he was his only enemy at this point. But he didn't thought that keeping it the power that resembled the Thunder God, Thor, would consume too much of his Magic. So he did the simplest thing to keep it. Changed all his defense enchantment into Magic regeneration as he thought that he would be able to avoid the lightnings with his improved speed. He did it as soon he finished starting the Self Oath.
Now he only had to flee for sometime and wait for Archer wear off from this state. When this happens the battle will be turned over and he would win inevitably. Archer and him were at Lightning God mode speed all the time and so the boy using the hammer discharged a lightning back at his opponent. Yeregard smiled at the attack as his speed was enough to dodge it so he did a side dash and prepared to counter but then he felt the lightning hitting his side pushing him into a tree.
