He was only using Aura against a full mutation individual. This was a good training for him but it could be problematic if handled wrong. The coin was on its highest spot. Verns was coating herself with her Psychic powers. This was a great advancement on Archer's eyes as she changed completely her style. The coin hit the ground.
Both instantly dashed to each other and covered the distance but Archer was caught a little off guard. So she landed the first high kick on his block. He was a little slower than her but still get it to perform a good defense.
