"So battles that you help me are eligible as well.", Archer said petting the little wolf.

"Woof."

He opened the door and the girl was eating something while on the bed. Archer fastly approached and looked at what she was biting. It was a pizza slice.

"Where did you got this?", he didn't bought any of that.

"I asked them to deliver.", she replied being a little surprised by his reaction.

"Okay. I only have more tomorrow before you are good to go.", he said to himself out loud.

"Why this paranoia?"

"All delivers are missions to the students. So your location leaked already.", he explained. "How good are your magical circuit and... you know.", he didn't want to talk about the puppet incident directly.

"I'm good to control my magic but...", she couldn't finish the line.

"Okay. Don't push yourself.", he looked around and his eyes rested upon Ferdy. "Time to fight buddy."

"Woof."

"Where are you going?", she said as he picked some food and opened the door to leave.

"To the Club.", he responded.

Club was the name given for the illegal fights on the South District. They followed the normal rules of a battle but there was no referee to stop when the time comes. It was up to the combatants to chose stop or not.

This fight club was located nearby the borderline with the East. So there was a lot more participants than normal. Both sides would join the fights and exchange conversations while watching others as well. Of course this wasn't the only Club as there was others for each borderline.

"Three fights are the goal. So on the end I prove my worth and leave.", the boy said to himself and looked at his companion. "You are the priority. Nothing should happen to you while fighting.", and smiled.

"Woof."

As he approached. A boy clearly older and probably from the East stopped him.

"What do you want here, little boy?", the guy was about the same height but Archer knew was better not confront.

"Fight, of course."

"Transfer ten credits to that man.", he pointed to a even more older boy with a spiked hair and purple eyes. "His name is Charles as he receives I can authorize your go."

"Okay.", the boy looked at his account a little stuffed a smile appeared and he did the transfer. "Done."

The boy looked at the other and Charles nodded a yes.

"Be welcome on the Club, brother.", he let Archer enter. "Feel at home but not so much.", he ended with a evil smile.

"Thanks."

"Hey, new boy.", Charles called him. "Come over here."

"Yes, sir.", Archer approached.

He entered on a group on this older boy was clearly the boss. Archer noticed that they didn't talk at all. So he realized what Aurora was warning him about on the last couple days. Elemental control wasn't the only type of mutation. On this group had a telepath and they were talking on their minds.

"You want to fight?", the boss asked.

"Yeah, a little maybe.", he was being overcautious with all his actions.

"Who is this cutie?", a girl talked and tried to take Ferdy but the wolf tried to bite her hand instead. "Wow. He needs a little training.", she said retrieving her hands.

"His name is Ferdy and is my familiar."

"Okay. Now cut the crap, Esther.", Charles yelled at her. "You came to right place to fight but I like gambling more than fighting.", he fixed his eyes on Archer.

"What's the catch?", he replied.

"You chose an opponent from here with only your vision. The odds are five to one and I chose the favorite."

"Okay.", he said and looked around. "How about that guy?", he pointed for a boy he knew was clearly more weak than him. When looked better was the same guy who was being beaten on the welcoming party. "What is he doing here?", Archer started to think that boy was either a pushover or straight dumb.

"Oho. Okay.", Charles thought a little. "You clearly can win this. So how about you lose?"

"You want profit?"

"Exactly. How about? I give you a quarter of the profit."

"I didn't came to lose.", the boss was clearly irritated with the comment. "But what about the middle combat bets?"

The bets normally were done before the combat but there was another types of battles that could have bets between rounds.

"The profit won't be so great.", Charles said.

"Only if you don't control the bets.", Archer responded.

On this scenarios the house would always win more profit than the gamblers. As the gambler would invest more on the winning side as they wish for more profit. While this the odds changes and will be more gamblers on the otherside as well.

"You have a point.", the spiked hair boy replied. "But if you lose?"

"I won't lose."

"Okay.", he looked at other two boys on the group and they without speaking a word went to take the other boy. "Be prepared then."

"Okay.", Archer looked at his familiar and started to think in every scenario possible. "You can't stop now?", he said and looked at Charles.

"How much time ago have you notice?"

"That was you not long.", he left the circle of people.

[TFA: Are you really going to beat that kid?]

[Archer: I have no choice and I want to test something.]

[West Tiger: Haste is the enemy of the perfection.]

[Archer: Better done than none.]

As he was talking with his system some guys picked him by the arm and guided him to a bad made battlefield on the grass. On the other side was already his opponent already trembling. The odds were ten to one at his favor. A lot was betting on the little boy being some gamblers and others thinking that this was a thrown game. Not much were betting on Archer as there would not be profit.

Archer was feeling great, He looked at his familiar ready to battle and then his eyes passed on Charles. The boy gave a sign to finish straight away. This wasn't part of the deal and he wanted to try something with Ferdy's mission. But instead he nodded a yes to his partner.

"Ferdy start to charge without anyone noticing."

"Woof."

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Here I am to be your host on this evening combat. My name is Richard and our contestants are. On the right weighting less than a feather without any companion and out of place. Helius. On the left with his adorable companion the boy who destroyed a quarter of the Arena on his second week at the school. Archer."

The crowd was crazy with the host's information. The bets from the first round weren't done yet. So he looked at the two sides.

"ARE YOU READY?", both nodded a yes and he looked at the bet and a sign of okay was given. "BEGIN."

Fastly a ray of light left Ferdy's mouth to the boy's chest. Without any delay a lightning left Archer's hand and struck the boy again on the chest. Incredibly Helius didn't fall after taking both attacks up front.

"What is this buzzing?", a girl said on the crowd.

"Is the best you can do?", Helius clothes were ripped but under it was a metal skin. "I can endure much more."

"Even vibration?", Archer asked.

"What are you talking about?", Helius didn't know.

"The sound is crazy.", another boy said on the crowd.

"Well. after the lightning comes the thunder.", Archer said and a crackle happened on the air around his opponent.

Helius' body was trembling like nothing could stop it but after some seconds he fell on the ground unconscious.

"WHAT?", a gambler shouted in the middle of the people. "So it wasn't a thrown match?"

Archer smiled at his sight of the mission refresh with another victory to Ferdy but.

"Wow. He is so adorable.", girls started to approach the little wolf.

"Woof, woof, woof.", the little guy was barking to all of them.

"Sorry.", Archer picked the good boy from the ground and started going out of the packed people there. "Are you good?"

"Woof.", Ferdy barked and licked his owner.

"I'll get this as a yes."

"Hey.", Charles said. "Look if the money went through."

"Oh, okay.", he looked and another thousand or so was deposited. "I want another fights if possible."

"I knew you were the man to talk to.", Charles smiled. "Come with me and lets make some money."

Even not being his goal to earn money was still good having another income as well batlle experience. He was thinking that would be better if he could use weapons on the battle to train that too.

"Weapons?", Charles said. Archer forgot for a moment that this bastard could read minds. "We can arrange. What do you think?"

"I want to train my familiar for now. So no weapons for or against him.", Archer smiled saddly.

"Okay.", the smiled on the older boy had on his face was much more evil than any other Archer saw till this moment.

Archer went home with more five wins, two draws and one lose.
