"So this is the problem he has.", Archer said to himself after picking the mission that the Director said to him. "I need to know about his magical circuit first.", he said and returned to his dorm.
"What are you doing here?", she said to him while messing around with her watch.
"Did you installed games on it?", he asked and she nodded a yes. "Whatever. I'll study for now. There's a lot to catch up."
"Woof."
"We can play after, Ferdy.", the boy said.
"You can understand the familiar?", she asked and he nodded a yes. "How?"
"He is like a part of me. So how I would not understand him?", he said and picked the book about Aura.
The Aura was nothing more than a transmutated Magic. The process was much more extense than Archer had thought. It would take him a few days to create his first Aura point and this process would result in him not improving his Magic as well. He had two choices improve his Magic to a point were would take less days to build Aura or start now taking a little more time.
"What do you think about Aura?", he asked the girl.
"Why would you ask me? I'm a backliner.", she replied.
She answered his thoughts without knowing. He was clearly a close and mid range combatant. So was important have Aura as soon as possible. Aura and Prana used the same circuit but they were different from Magic itself. Aura was more concetrated while Prana was more diluted. That was healing with Prana and attacks with Aura were more effective. Their unique properties.
The first Aura was known as 'Core'. This point would never cease to exist even if you used its power. Its location is on the heart and inside the foundation. It would took Archer two days to form it according to the book as the 'Core' needed a hundred Magic concentrated to start functioning but the reality was another. Archer didn't know that with that much circuit and foundations the quantity would rise as well.
"Hey.", she looked at him concetrating his Magic. "Why do you train so much?"
"I don't have a place to return if I don't be sucessful after here."
"What? This sounded like you were expelled for trying being an adventurer.", she mocked.
"That's exactly what it is.", he replied.
"No way. That is just non sense.", her world was one totally different from the one he came.
"I'm the first one in seventeen generations. It's not like everyone here come from a good background, Aurora.", he completed.
"But you are by far the most talented within the freshmen."
"Yet my family don't appreciate it.", he sad smiled.
"Woof.", Ferdy started rubbing against his master.
"It's okay, boy.", he smiled to the wolf. "Let me finish this before it resets."
"What resets?", she asked.
"My line of thought.", he picked the book about the Fire magic. "Did you find something good here?"
"There are some advanced magic but the enchantments and formulas are too complex to be usable in combat.", she replied.
"Okay.", he smiled and started reading. Having someone 'normal' opinions was good for his best understanding of his own powers.
"Hey."
"What?"
"Who was that boy, yesterday?", she asked.
"A back stabber.", he said. "Don't worry about it."
"You fought inside the dorms.", she claimed.
"Are you going to snitch me?", he smiled at her direction.
"No. He sounded like my friends. That's all. I almost opened the door. He was too familiar with you."
"That's terrifying, isn't it?", he stopped reading. "What are you thinking about them now? Your friends.", he sat on the bed with a finger locating the page where he stopped.
"I'm afraid. It feels like I can't trust anyone anymore. I'm in constant fear. I don't feel like leaving this room.", she said.
"Good.", he smiled. "You know how is be on the other side now."
"Other side?"
"How do you think everyone that is inferior than you feel when you without worrying smash them on the ground with your tremendous power?", he looked. "It's the exact same as you are feeling now but everyday, every hour, every minute, every second. They don't know when they will be beaten just to be weak. That's an endless circle of fear.", he finished and returned to read. "So that's why I need to be stronger."
"Why did you save me?", she asked.
"For money.", he replied. "I need to get things that can lead my way. The thing is money and I get it protecting you."
"You never thought doing it for free?"
"Yeah.", he said. "But then I meet worse and worse people doing it. The boy on the door was one of the free people I wanted to help."
The silence made his appearance and the boy enjoy it by finishing the book. One more and he would gather another experience point. It was late and he needed rest as a normal person. The system and his instructors were a little off on the passes days. So he thought a good idea check on them.
[Archer: Anyone here?]
[TFQ: We are always here.]
[TFA: Do you need something?]
[Archer: No. It's just that you were too quiet. So I was a little worried about.]
[TFQ: We will be here unless you ***.]
[Archer: What? There's a way to you disappear?]
This thought was a back down on the boy. Even if the system was a little restrictive having them instructing his steps was a great thing. But now he knew that there was a way that he could lose this too.
[TFA: Don't stress the boy, TFQ. Focus on yourself and nothing like that will happen.]
[TWT: Since you are here. The 'Core' will take longer than you think.]
[Archer: What? Normally take a hundred Magic concentrated.]
[TFQ: Are you normal?]
[Archer: Okay. By the way you said you must avoid the topic directly. So something in me... Something in me, of course it's the Magical Circuit.]
[TFQ: That's right. The amount you need is proportional to it.]
[TWT: It's better to you intercalate the meditation with the 'Core' build.]
[Archer: Noted.]
[TFA: About the Healing Touch. I suggest that you use it with MP instead of the free uses. Leave the free uses for an emergence.]
[Archer: That's on me. I didn't thought it through.]
[TFQ: And finish your studies on the Magical Circuit as well.]
[TFA: This is just that TFQ wants you to start studying magic as fast as possible.]
[TFQ: I just don't want him to ***.]
[Archer: I can't see again but I'll put this on my priority then.]
The spells are divided into three categories. Basic were most of the people can use it on a daily basis. Intermediary were normally you can use against monsters. Advanced were the so called finishers and only made to kill the monsters. But out of them there are the Unique spells that were made and used by their casters.
Archer knew that TFQ wanted him to run a path to the Unique spells. As she was in despair for him learn magic. The Unique spells were a totally out of curve spells. They break all the restraints put on spells. One spell with the same effect being an Advanced and an Unique had three thing that could tear them apart. Enchantment, formula and magic flow. Unique spells would always win on at least two of those proving them to be better.
[TWT: You missed your weapon training. So it's good to training on one of your days off.]
[Archer: I lost the Mutant Class too. I'll ask mister J for what was he teached in class too.]
"Woof.", Ferdy reacted to the door and after a while it was knocked.
"Archer.", this voice was from another girl. So he looked at Aurora but she nodded as she didn't know.
It was miss A or H voice too. Neither Laura. He was on a bad spot as he didn't have any Magic within his body. So he pointed at Aurora and then at the ice magic book. Gladly she understood and nodded to him.
"Coming.", he stood up and went to the door. "Who is it?"
"I'm miss Z. We saw a footage of you attacking a boy on the dorm."
"I only smashed his face on the floor, miss Z.", he replied maintaining the door closed.
"What was the cause to you do it?"
"Can you see his foot mark on my door?"
"Yes."
"Then you must know that I only did self protection, miss Z.", he said.
"And those beams?", she insisted.
"I didn't attack him.", he returned.
"But the familiar is yours, isn't it?"
"What is the familiar purpose, miss Z?", he lead her to admit his innocence.
"Okay. I'll let this one go, mister Archer, but be aware that the next time we won't be too condolent with your actions."
"Thank you very much, miss Z.", he looked at the other two and sighed long followed by sitting on the floor.
