Chapter 32 - Frustration and Suffocation

The new boys arrived at the University Dean's cabin. The administrative head had told them to meet the Dean first then come back to him as he will introduce them to their new class professor.

The man sitting outside looked up when he heard footsteps. The man was the Dean's assistant. The boys walked up to him, "Sir, we have been instructed to meet thr Dean before we attend our new class." One of them moved ahead of them and conveyed the exact message of the administration.

The man took off his glasses, "Are you perhaps, the newly joined transfer students?"

The boys nodded their heads at the man's words.

"Uh-huh...You all can go in. Sir is waiting for you guys inside his cabin."

They thanked the man and knocked on the door.

"Enter." They heard from the other side.

They strode into the cabin.

The cabin had a warm and cosy ambience. It had grey and peach coloured walls. The boys noticed some herbs planted near to the windshield. There were two big couches in one corner of the room. In the middle, a large-sized white table stood. Behind the table, sat their Dean.

They took slow steps forward and reached closer to the centre table. They didn't speak as they could see that their Dean was immersed in his work. They observed creases on his face.

There was no need for them to announce their arrival as the Dean knew of it otherwise why would he let them in.

The Dean signed on the last page of the file and closed it with a bang sound. It resounded in the silent room.

The boys gazed at the square black nameplate placed at the top of the table.

The black nameplate had a reflective glass over it. It shined and reflected the light whenever it fell on it.

With white ink and bold letters, Raphael Hamilton was written.

Raphael massaged his glabella. He looked tired.

He apologised, "Sorry, you had to wait. You should have sat there on the couch." Raphael had been engrossed in his files that he had momentarily forgotten about the boys.

"Sir, it's fine. We can understand."

Raphael merely smiled at the boys. He offered to sit on the chairs facing him.

The boys declined his offer.

"I am sure that you guys must already know why you have been asked to come here."

The Dean raised his eyebrows as he glanced at the boys. He observed their faces, it remained neutral. He liked it.

Later they talked for 10 minutes.

"Thank you, sir."

"No need to thank me. It is me who is indebted to you."

The boys didn't retort anymore and went outside of the cabin. They also wished Raphael's assistant a good day. Again they were on their way to the administration counter.

This time, they noted a new addition there. They saw a woman chatting with the administrative head. Both of them paused their talk when they took notice of the boys' appearance.

"Are they the ones?" The woman asked as her eagle eyes studied the boys.

"Yes, they are the ones I had talked about."

"Hmm….Alright, I will take charge from here." The woman declared and marched towards the boys. She stopped before them. She had to lift her head to look at them.

"Are you new transfer students?"

"Yes, we are." The boys replied in a confident tone.

"Well, let me introduce myself. I go by the name of Tasha. I will be your class professor from now onwards. But first things first, I want you boys to be clear about my class rules.

No unnecessary noise, no talking in between the lectures, no late coming, no bullying and no commenting on others. Are we clear?"

Tasha pointed out the five rules of her class with her fingers.

The boys gave her an affirmative response.

"Then, why waste time. Let's get going. The classes have started already."

Tasha walked ahead of the boys. They followed her.

Their trip to the boy's new classroom ended shortly. As they got near to it, they could hear the noise and chatter of the students. Everything turned still as if the uproar of the students was just an illusion. But the boys sooner understood the reason for the change.

Just as Tasha took one step inside the room. Most students instantly opened up their books and appeared to be studying them. They looked deeply immersed in their books.

Tasha clapped her hands and students climbed up their heads. They looked at Tasha with curiosity.

"I would like to introduce you all to your new friends. They had been transferred here. I will be happy to see you all getting along with and helping them with their studies. Come in."

Tasha waved her hands for the boys to come inside the room.

The boys sauntered in. They walked on the podium where Tasha stood.

And when they darted their eyes at the classroom. They noticed that almost all the girls froze. It was a hilarious sight. The boys found it hard to not laugh at them.

While other girls lusted on the new boys, in the last row, five girls grimaced at them.

"Why are these troublemakers here?"

Ivy had labelled them the harbingers of trouble as, since the moment they had arrived at the University, they only simulated problems.

"Hey, you spoke my thoughts as I believe these boys would make it harder for us."

Athena gripped her pencil so tightly that the poor pencil broke into two halves. Grace felt frustrated and angry.

'Why are you testing me? Every time you prefer to do the opposite of my wishes. I had just asked for a small thing yet you had to punish me for my past sins right now.'

Grace grieved over her bad luck. She should have expected the worst. Her wishes like all the previous times had been looked over and ignored.

She badly wanted to leave the class and go out. She felt suffocated.

If Grace wondered that her bad luck ended there, then she was in for a big surprise or maybe a shock.
