Chapter 25 - Another Opportunity To Live

"Aza, you knew everything from the beginning yet you didn't seem to think it was important to tell us? Why are we always the last ones to find about things at the end moment....." Ines reprimanded her. She was also astonished to see the mission details.

The message conveyed that they have to disguise themselves into new alternate identities and it would be provided by their master, himself. They will also get their names registered into the top University "Treasures", which was the most reputed and high profiled university in New York. They need to go and meet the administrative head on the first day of the upcoming month. It would mark the official start of their mission.

Also, they will have to live in a girl's dorm with other girls though they all will be living in one room. Their room will be equipped with the necessities needed for the mission.

The administrative head would hand them, new the I'd cards and they all would be having all of their class together.

There was another condition which the girls thought was needed since they didn't want their real identity to be known.

According to the condition, the girls won't have to meet the other members until their master tells them. Till the time all the members would act as spies in the university and would report their master about the acquired information in their group.

"Girls, on a brighter side, I think our master just granted us another opportunity to live our college life." Livia happily told them her perspective. She was also agitated the first time when she read about going back to University, however, she suddenly remembered something which made her smile like a cheshire cat.

Aza understood the reason for Livia's change and she anticipated it.

Livia patted Serene's head, "Just chill guys. Serene, didn't you tell me how you wanted to live in a dorm? See we are finally going to do that. Aren't you excited?"

Serene pondered over Livia's words and it clicked to her, how she had desired to live a normal life yet it won't have been easy for her along with her real surname. This thought had disheartened her still with time she got used to the reality that she wasn't born to be normal since her friends helped her to face the truth.

"And, Ms Food Monster, what happened to you? Don't you want to enjoy the delicious food at the canteen? The fun and excitement of eating in a canteen that we missed out on during our university. We can enjoy it again!! Isn't it a God's sign that he wants us to fulfil our dreams?"

Diana's eyes turned bigger and brighter with each word of Livia. Livia could see the saliva trickling from her mouth.

Livia put her fist to control her laughter. Aza smiled at Livia's tactics. She was sure that Livia would be able to make them agree except Ines.

Aza walked to Ines, who had her cheeks puffed up like a hamster. It wasn't every day that they could witness the adorable side of Ines. Therefore getting the chance, she didn't want to lose it, she poked Ines's cheeks with her long and slender fingers. It further irritated Ines yet she didn't open her mouth, in her anger she moved her face away from Aza's grasp.

"Our little hamster seems to be angry. What should her little bunny do?? Hmm…. Should I use her ultimate charm to make her talk to me?" Aza appeared to be in deep thinking as she talked to herself.

Initially, Ines wasn't even angry, just upset and a little bit disappointed at Aza, as she didn't share about university with her when she would always be the first one Aza told anything.

While the girls were hyped up for their new journey, the same can't be said for the boys. With their widened eyes and agape mouths, they felt as if they were in dreams and whatever they saw on their phones was a nightmare only.

"F**KING, NO WAY!!!"

Zeki shouted at the top of his lungs.

"NO SWEARING IN MORNING!!" Caleb yelled at him since Zeki wasn't the one to listen to him like a normal being.

At the sudden outburst of both, Bryan fell from his chair. Bryan had just woken up and sleep lingering in his eyes didn't either help me.

He fell on his butt. Now the sleepiness ran away and pain took over.

"CAN'T YOU BOTH FREAKIN' TALK AT LOW VOLUME? WHAT'S THE NEED TO SHOUT AND SCREAM LIKE STRAYED DOGS AND CATS!!"

It was Xavier, who had enough yelling for the morning. He hated when people would shout. It ruffled and startled him badly. He was peace-loving and he loved to be alone and enjoy the quiet environment.

Caleb and Zeki stilled, their senses heightened up. Xavier's anger and fury would be the last thing that they ever wanted to feel for today. Their minds were already in chaos since the time they had seen the message sent by their master. Yesterday they had a drink in the joy of starting their mission yet who knew that their last night's hangover would be nothing to the bomb dropped by their master.

None of them imagined or dreamt that they would have to do something such as.., for the,m missions included action, fight, thrill and the adrenaline rush. They wanted to feel all these not to go back into University and start studying again when they had got their PhD certificates a long time ago.

Never in their sane state of mind, they thought about the possibility of going back and studying things once more. Their master had successfully given them a heart attack which their heart survived; however, their brain became numb. They marvelled on many different scenarios yet none included them restarting their university from the first year.

Xavier calmed down since he never intended to let out his master's frustration on his friends but he couldn't help it when they acted so irrationally. He could discern their ways of releasing the built-up anger and emotions.

Although for Xavier it was a whole different level scene as he didn't know the correct manner to express his emotions, which always burst out in the form of rage and fury unintentionally. It annoyed him too. He didn't like how unstable his emotions and feelings were because of that he had to keep them in check every time. He had learnt the lesson, unkempt emotions were disastrous.

_______________

"Yaaa!!! You two!! Stop right there!!"

The two comrades turned friends, paused their chat. They watched the other man who had a B level rank batch embedded on his clothes. He marched towards and stopped right in front of them. He glared at them.

"You both are only C level soldiers yet you dare to talk and chat in between your duty?" He aggressively remarked.

Both of the low ranked soldiers didn't utter a word. They silently hung their heads and let the B ranker scold them. They knew if they were to say or argue with him. They will lose their jobs and won't find work anywhere else.

They had a family to take care of and fill their stomachs. Also, their current profession gave them more than enough.

"I am warning both of you for the last time! If I see you two chit chatting and not doing your assigned duties properly, I'll make sure you both pay for disobedience." The B level one reprimanded them in a harsh tone. He brushed past them.

"Phew~~ I didn't know that I was holding in my breath. I felt so scared as if today would be my last day here and from tomorrow I would have to sit and beg the passersby for money." One of them told his new friend about his inner thoughts.

The man got worried as his wife had just given birth to their first baby and if he lost his job now then he won't be able to provide his family with a single meal. That would endanger his young baby's life as the newborn in the early stages needs extra care.

"Don't overthink. You didn't lose the job. It's still in your grasp." His friend tried to sympathise with his panic-stricken friend. He understood his worries as his wife was also pregnant with their second baby and now as his family was going to increase the needed a job that would earn him a better salary than a shoe mender.

His previous work barely earned him anything yet together with his wife's part-time job, they seemed to gather money up to their requirements. However, now that his wife was pregnant and can't overwork, all the responsibilities came upon his shoulders and being the man of the house, he had to take care of his family.

Therefore when he saw the vacancy for some men in the court of the Empire Palace. He was determined to land himself in its position. The job required him to stay and live at the palace where the other workers lived all together. Certainly,y it was hard for him to leave his pregnant wife and daughter alone so he called his mother in law to come and live with them. Also to take extra care of his wife, who was in the third trimester which demanded more caring.

His mother in law agreed as his father in law had died two years back and she lived alone in their home.

Unexpectedly he got the job, the man only had hoped but he was uncertain but eventually, he got it. He was really happy that he could give his family a better life and fulfil their dreams.

He can send his daughter to a school so that she can study with other kids of her age.

He thought that his life was going to be blissful yet he failed to notice that his happiness won't be for long.
