No words were exchanged for the next 10 seconds. They had their heads turned towards Serene.
Ines had left Aza's ears the moment Livia tried to imitate those actors who played the roles of ghosts in horror movies.
She had a dazzling grin on her face.
"Are you fine? You have a fever?"
"Are you an imposter?"
"Did some unknown soul possess you?"
"How did I forget that dynamite explosive?"
They questioned Serene in unison about her health. Except for Aza who rubbed her chin and began to run her brain cells. She chided herself for not getting the idea of the dynamite before her friend, Serene.
Now all the four pairs of eyes looked in her direction. Their facial expressions screamed as if she was an alien. Although, she seemed to be a human. Many would doubt her and her personality, which was everything but normal.
Feeling the stares of her friends, the spaced-out Aza came back to her senses, "What? I know you guys must be thinking the same as me yet you didn't voice it out. I can feel that. So I thought at least I should say it."
"How can you be this forgetful Aza?"
"You are losing your creativity. In the past it was always you who thought of such ideas, this change must be due to the company of people you are always surrounded by….."
Her voice got lower and lower with the increase in her words.
Aza talked to herself as if she was the President of the country and discussed her worries related to national security.
"We should stop her speed-thinking before it turns into over-thinking," Ines told others.
Aza didn't space out like Livia. She would lose her bodily senses whenever she tries to dwell deeper in her thoughts.
Though it doesn't mean that you can harm her in this state. It was just that she won't respond to anyone. She can protect herself pretty well during this momentary situation.
'Am I getting old or is it due to the global warming that's affecting me?' Aza pondered over her thoughts.
"She never fails to amaze me. Her focus and concentration are sufficient to beat the World's renowned and Guinness record holder, who holds the record for having speed thinking of 200 meters per second. Her nerves were amazingly well insulated. However, look at her." Diana paused in between and pointed at Aza, who leaned calmly with her hands folded along the wall.
"Acting like the most confused human being alive on earth. She might look like she spaced out but her timely reactions separate her from humankind. It isn't even the end. Her nonchalantly responses give immense headaches." Serene wiped her fake tears.
Not wanting to lose her chatterbox identity, Livia had to say something, "Did you forget what happened to the teacher when he got to know? He had fainted on the spot. They had to give him IV drips. Later when he woke up, he begged and even bowed down to us, just so that we could call Aza back and let him make her his disciple.
The teacher was none other than the renowned scientist and philosopher, Mark Shades. He had done an uncountable number of experiments. Provided new laws, thesis, etc. Many young and aspiring science lovers would die to be his disciples.
Since he had high expectations for his students. None seemed to qualify them."
"Except Aza."
"Except Aza."
"Except Aza."
Serene, Diana and Livia said at once.
Serene took off her glasses, "He had personally invited her to the L'Amour Rosé Café to discuss her rejection of his offer. He had tried so hard to make her agree but if she had agreed then she wouldn't have been our Aza, the most stubborn."
Diana and Livia high fived and laughed.
"I still can't get off him trying to imitate the famous puppy eyes on her. His face and expression made it more fun. He always had a stern and emotionless face then his sudden change. Pfft…" Serene couldn't continue anymore.
"Hahaha…." Diana and Livia joined Serene. Their laugher
It was inevitable to not laugh. Imagine a stone suddenly becoming a panda. The cutest animal. Normal people can't even think of it yet these girls laughed as if visualising until it began to hurt their stomach.
Diana patted her chest, "Huhuh… World would call us heartless to laugh, still only we know the world he had taken fake tear drops. I almost fell out of my chair when I saw him in fake teardrops me a shock close to the heart attack."
"Your eyes had turned as wide as saucers. Livi had her eyes popping out. My condition wasn't better." Serene reminisced
