It's February 14, 2015. Today's the day we hang out with the other friend group in our class. They're all females. Technically you could call it a mixer. The reason we set this mixer up was all because of Shin. He's got a crush on Maeda Rei. We wanted to hook up those two together. Even Rei's friends wanted Shin and Rei to get together, so we cooperated with their friend group to form this meetup. That's how we ended up here.

We all decided to meet up at 10:00 AM at the train station then head straight to the Ebata amusement park. We heard some rumors a few weeks ago. There was a tunnel of love ride there that guaranteed to hook up people who rode with each other. Though I'm not the type of person to believe those, it's worth a shot.

All of us boys are here Me, Katsu, Arata, and Shin. Now, All we need to do is wait till the girls arrive. Hopefully, this will work out for both Shin and Rei-san. Speaking of the girls, they're all here. Ueno Hikari, Shibata Ena, Kotone Endo and Maeda Rei. Operation ShinxRei Commence!

During our planning, we decided that each of us pair up with someone. It's a good thing that there are 4 of us on both sides. Katsu is with Shibata-san, Arata is with Kotone-san, Me with Ueno-san, and Shin with Maeda-san.

Of course, Shin and Maeda-san don't know we're plotting to get them together. We just said that it would be cheaper to go to the amusement park with the couple's discount. Which is also one of the reasons we paired up.

We finally arrived at the park. We went in and registered as couples to get that discount. Then, suddenly Ueno-san glared at me.

[UH]"I'm only doing this for Rei. So, don't go thinking we're close."

[Y]"Fine, but don't go ruining this for everyone else."

Now I get why guys don't like her. She always seems to be cold to every guy, but I have to tolerate this for Shin.

The day seemed to be going smooth with Shin and Maeda-san. We tried all the rides except for the tunnel of love. We saved the best for last. Now, if rumors are true, then Shin and Maeda-san would end up together.

Ah, the last ride, the tunnel of love.

[Y]"Hey, Shin."

[S]"What?"

[Y]"We won't be riding on this one."

[S]"Eh, Why not?"

[Y]"I mean, it's a chance for you to hook up with Maeda-san."

[S]"Wait, you planned this?"

[Y]"Don't worry about that. Just get on the ride."

[S]"No, I won't get in the ride if you guys aren't coming."

[Y]"Come on, don't be a coward."

[S]"Well, I am a coward, and I'm not going to ride if you guys aren't coming."

[K]"Yami, what's going on here?"

[Y]"Shin doesn't want to ride if we won't join him."

[K]"Seriously?"

[Y]"Yeah."

[K]"Fine, we'll go with him, but he owes us one. We won't go anywhere if we argue here."

[Y]"I'll go tell Arata and the girls then."

I went to tell the rest that we would be joining the ride with Shin and Maeda-san. They all agreed except for Ueno-san.

[UH]"Huh? Pair with this idiot in the love tunnel? No way!"

[SE]"It's only for today."

[EK]"Do it for Rei."

[MR]" Eh, Me?"

[EK]"Oh, it's nothing."

[UH]"Fine, but just this one time."

[EK]"There we go."

This girl hates guys, doesn't she? Well, at least now it's settled. After this, I want to go home and sleep my ass off. I'm tired of testing out all the rides for an entire day.

The others already rode their boats. We're the last ones to ride.

[Y]"Ueno-san, you go first."

[UH]"Hmph..."

(I'm starting to get pissed)

The boat began to move forward. Ueno-san was silent while she was using her phone. Then, suddenly the ride got bumpy. By accident, Ueno-san dropped her phone into the water. She jumped right into the water.

[Y]"Ueno-san, that's dangerous!"

She didn't come back up for a long time. I was getting worried, so I jumped into the water to check what was going on. Just as I jumped into the water, a weird sensation surged throughout my body. It didn't feel like I was swimming in the water. I could even breathe. What going on here? Everything around me was dark, but I could see a faint light. I headed towards that light.

As I got towards the light, I could see a strange room, almost like an altar. I went in, and Ueno-san was there too.

[Y]"Ueno-san! Are you okay?"

[UH]"I'm fine."

[Y]"What is this place?"

[UH]"I don't know. I jumped in the water to get my phone. Next thing I knew, I was already here."

[Y]"There's something on the table in the middle. I'll go check it out."

I head towards the table. As I got closer, it looked like a stone tablet, and there's something written on it! I took it and read it.

"50 meters is the distance I set

three years is the time you will forget

To set you back to the time you have met

Return here to erase the past

to reverse the spell, I have cast

It will be the first and the last"

What is this? A riddle of some sort? There's a slot on the wall that matches the size of the stone tablet. I think it would be the right decision to put it in there. But first I'll take a picture of the tablet, maybe I'll need it.

Now, time to put it on the slot. Woah! It's is heavy! I can't rely on Ueno-san right now. There we go, perfect fit.

Suddenly, a deep voice spoke.

[?]" Conditions fulfilled. You may now leave."

Then we were somehow back on the boat.

[Y]"What just happened back there?'

[UH]"I don't know."

[Y]"Oh, yeah, I took a picture of the writing."

[UH]"What does it mean?"

[Y]"I'm also confused here."

[UH]"Don't get me wrong, I'm just talking to you casually because of what happened. Forget about this after the ride."

[Y]"Yeah, fine. But should we tell the others?"

[UH]"Would they believe us?"

[Y]"Good point. Let's keep it to ourselves then."

[UH]"Sure."

Well, I guess she does have a nice side to her too. We're also close to the end. I can hear them saying our names. We get off the boat.

[A]"What took you so long. Don't tell me Ueno-san's your type."

[Y]"Of course not. The boat just got stuck."

[K]"That's enough fooling around. Let's head back home."

[Y]"How's Shin?"

[K]"Apparently, he confessed to Maeda-san in the tunnel."

[Y]"So, what was her answer."

[K]"That's the problem. She didn't answer yet."

[Y]"Where's Shin now?"

[K]"He went straight back home."

[Y]"He didn't even wait for us."

[K]"Well, it is understandable."

[Y]"I guess so."

[K]"Let's all head back then."

[Y]"Sure."

[A]"Roger."

Everything seemed normal as we were heading home. But suddenly, I couldn't walk.

[A]"What's wrong, Yami?"

[Y]"I can't walk."

[A]"Huh? What do you mean you can't walk?"

[Y]"I can stand, but I can't go any further."

[K]"What are you talking about?"

Katsu tried to pull me forcefully, but I still couldn't move.

[K]"Wait, you really can't move at all?"

[Y]"Yes, that's what I've been saying."

[A]"Look over there!"

He pointed to where the girls are. It's Ueno-san! Wait, could it possibly be? The riddle from the tunnel!
