Surbhi was ridden with guilt because of two things by now. She hadn't told her best friend that her relationship was not running on a smooth track; she hadn't shared it with her at the moment, because she knew that Nitya was grappling with her own problems. Another reason besides this one- one that she didn't want to admit, was that she was feeling hesitant to tell Nitya about all this because the other person involved in the conflict was her own twin. She knew very well that she wouldn't be partial towards him, but this was exactly why she didn't want her to become angry with Mukul on her behalf, and end up causing discord between the siblings as well.
But now, Nitya had started yelling and panicking about her trip, which was supposed to start in ten days. Surbhi decided to reveal everything to her, in order to shift her focus in another direction.
"Nikki...NITYA!"
Nitya turned back to look at her best friend. "Yes," she replied in a faint voice.
