The dinner was going peacefully, or to put it in a simple way, it was going as it was supposed to. Nitya was sulking over not being able to eat any more, Meisha was whining about this not being the exact dish she wanted to have for dinner, and Surbhi was somehow trying to keep her calm while dealing with these two fully grown kids. And that was when the doorbell rang!
Nitya rushed towards the door, taking it as an opportunity to announce that she won't be eating more. She paused for a moment after seeing Mehul; it was very rare for him to drop by without any prior notice.
But within seconds, she was chirping again, "Dada !!! Tumi aekhane! ('You are here!') Surprise surprise!"
Mehul smiled at the excitement of his little sister, who was screaming 'Surprise' with joy, even after being on the receiving end of the surprise herself!
Mehul pinched her nose, saying "Shouldn't I be the one declaring 'surprise'?"
"Nope! Me, me! I will say surprise! But why are you here?"
