Without a second's delay, Mehul strode over to where Nitya was standing. He proceeded to grab her wrist and made her stand behind him, all the while looking at Ji-hun with murderous intent flashing in his eyes.
Once his sister was safely behind him, he growled out, "Don't you dare to try to step within an inch of my sister- now, or in the future."
Nitya was taken aback by her brother's display of anger. She hadn't even noticed that he had already arrived, because his phone had been switched off as usual. Atharv had informed her by text that he would be coming after half an hour, because he needed to collect something and it was taking some time. So she had just assumed that Mehul would be with him, and not in front of her, playing tag with her for some reason.
"Dada...what happened?"
She placed her hand on his trembling elbow, noticing that Ji-hun was just as surprised as her, and so were the others.
"Nikku, baccha, I am sorry…"
