Nitya waited by the bedside for a whole minute for the phone to switch on. And yet, as soon as the screen flashed on, she decided to take a bath in order to delay having to face the music for however long she could.
Her gaze swept across the room to her luggage, but the idea of opening it and finding something comfortable to wear from amongst the clothes inside it felt like a tiring job all of a sudden.
She stepped down from the bed and moved towards the cupboard and opened it, to get an idea about whose room it was- rather, to confirm her hunch. Glancing around after opening the closet, her eyes landed on a white oversized t-shirt and a pair of shorts amongst the pile of clothes. In her daze and due to the throbbing headache, Nitya abandoned the idea of finding the owner and simply grabbed them from the rack. She stepped inside the bathroom, forgetting to even lock the door.
