Nitya looked at the boy with a fiery anger in her eyes, screaming "Ye ladka itna nalayak kaise ho sakta hai?" ('How can this boy be so useless?')
Ho-jin turned his full attention to her and returned to his Sisyphean attempts to keep her seated on the chair. She was continuously trying to float in the air somehow, while screaming in a language he was not able to decipher!
"Noona! What does 'lalayak' mean?" He asked, latching on to the one word she was repeating and hoping that it would resolve his confusion and divert her attention at the same time.
"Lalayak? What 'lalayak'? I don't know?!" She questioned in return, confused because of the mispronunciation on Ho-jin's part. Her capacity to make deductions or even to think straight had faded away due to the effect of alcohol.
"That word you are keep repeating-"
"Oh! 'Nalayak'? To aisa bolo, na! Pta nhi kya, 'lalayak' bol rhe ho!?" She struck her forehead with her own palm.
