Hinata scoffs, incredulous. He laughs, rolling his tongue over his upper teeth and he doesn't know where she gets the audacity from. He stands back, arms folded over his chest and hand tightened around his bandage.
"After you disrespected me? You don't walk up to someone you're supposed to care about and ask them why you love them. Do you know how stupid that sounds—coming up to me, questioning yourself why it's so hard."
Hinata pauses to breath, pressing a hand against his damp chest to catch his breath. He holds up his finger firmly, strictly instructing her to wait. "And hard? Hard? I trusted you and tore my heart out for you and I would die on the spot right now and you'll stand there and say I haven't done enough. That loving me is difficult," he yells, the silhouettes of his veins pressing against the upper layer of his skin.
