It's at this point, through the gaps between Hinata and Shoma's shoulders, that he notices the landscape of Sirius far closer and then the river stop.
The river seems to widen at this point into a lake before leading through the hole under a cliff which connects to a nearby waterfall. He stops talking then and sits up, saying, "It's finally coming to an end," he sighs in relief.
