"No reason," Hinata replies honestly, and then nonchalantly. He leans back on the arm pressed against the ground, pushing his weight back as he stares distantly at the empty sky.
"I don't like not knowing things, and the stars keep a lot of secrets from us too. If I squint hard enough, and stare for an uncomfortably long time, they might start telling me what they're hiding," he continues, closing his eyes.
He dips his head, fringe hanging over his eyes and it's noticeable at this point—how much longer it has gotten with time.
Mizuki finds herself staring at him partly out of curiosity and partly out of raw admiration for him, something she has always had in her heart.
"Guess we're the same on that," she says with a chuckle, raising her eyebrow.
