No one has been the same since the fight the previous night and even as it's almost morning right now, Hinata hasn't given himself much time to rest since realising Mizuki's disappearance.
It so happens that he saw a body lying on the bloody path with marks of the fight through the clearing of the field, and found Mizuki lying there for who knows how long.
Hinata tries to shake his mind off the terrible thoughts that bombard his mind while he carries the fragile Mizuki in his arms, careful not to cause her any more discomfort than she might already be in.
Frankly, he's never seen anyone more battered up than Mizuki right now, maybe a corpse but no one alive. It seems almost impossible for Mizuki to have successfully taken down a boss enemy of several levels higher than herself, even with the additional power she might have due to her abilities.
