"Right," Hinata nods, the skin around his eyes crinkling to show his amusement. He takes off, expertly slashing at the birds to distract them from Mizuki. Mizuki is caught off guard by his snicker for a couple of seconds, watching blankly.
Her eyes widen in realisation. 'He's trying to create a distraction.' With hard effort, she manages to summon a flickering flame in her palms. She opens her palms and holds her daggers tighter, being covered in a flaming aura.
Mizuki smirks, dashing forward to build momentum and leaping mid-air. She's right over Hinata and if they were held in the moment by a picture, they'd look like the perfect team. The fire chars the wings of the birds and they fall, leaving no time for more to appear. She plunges to the ground and stabs her dagger through the shield of the man. It shatters instantly with the sheer force of her flames and he's knocked off his feet. Kicking him to the ground, Mizuki pierces her dagger through his heart.
