Hinata clenches his jaw, looking the most emotionally constipated he has in a long while.
The longer she stares, Mizuki grows more aware of the rapid drumming of her heart. As her palms grow sweatier, she releases her grip on Brandon's hand, turning her face away adamantly. 'He probably doesn't want to talk to me', her expression distorts into one of sadness from annoyance as she proceeds to dodge Hinata entirely. Providing no explanation, she sits at Brandon's seat at the front of the cart, not turning back once.
"So one day is all it takes to get what took us months, right?" Hinata barks and Mizuki's almost confused until she's reminded of her holding Bradon. Behind her, she hears a brief scuffle of 'don't start a fight' and 'what are you saying?' until there's a thud against the wood of the cart. Brandon totters over to her at the front, waving in front of her face to catch her attention. Mizuki doesn't respond.
"Aren't you going to the back?" he asks softly.
