Hinata does not start walking right after he closes the door behind him and instead pauses, looking back at him to check on Mizuki. He can see her only through the gaps between the gates and there's barely any clarity to his vision from his distance.
Her silhouette is hugged by the blaring light of the noon—almost evening—sun, and he cannot make out any of her features apart from a shadowy outline with the open curtains and the light beyond her.
He can't tell if she's looking at him, and even if she were, it wouldn't be any of his business to care. Hinata turns away quickly, knowing she would catch him at ease if she were to notice his staring.
He shoves his hands into his pockets and he starts walking.
The realisation would soon dawn on him that leaving the house while he's in an uncomfortably sour mood would not help his case or his productivity.
