Mizuki clears her throat, quickly pulling away from the ghastly sight in front of her before stepping under the cold shower. She tries her hardest to clean off all the blood, but the parts that have dried onto her skin are harder to remove. She rubs, hard and with as much force, but she has too many bruises to willingly give herself another.
Mizuki raises her hand and suddenly, she feels the urge to cry again, but she knows she can't. This sends her off into a daze, staring off into oblivion in an attempt to calm her mind. Hinata's not dead. He couldn't be.
And then she chooses to trust that small flicker of hope in her chest, not only for herself but out of respect for him too.
When she steps out of the shower, Brandon's still seated against the back door. Her bloodied clothes have left marks on the floor and where her clothes were pressed up against it.
