Mizuki stands in front of him with her gaze lowered and a guilt-ridden expression, her eyes telling Brandon more of an honest story that her words manage to.
He can tell that she doesn't intend to lie to him out of deliberation, but truly doesn't know how to explain her case so he nods and doesn't force her to speak up.
"Take your time," he assures and Mizuki raises her gaze, feeling slightly more confident to voice her thoughts. She turns her back and gestures towards the path, suggesting that they start walking.
After some time, Mizuki blurts, "Recently, I've been spending more time away from home because of how much I have been trying to focus on the adventures so we could move to Sirius without trouble once we need to. I always intended to not tell you or Hinata about it because I wanted to focus on it myself, and I wanted to be able to accomplish something on my own without always needing to rely on the both of you without doing anything myself."
