Mizuki washes her hands under the water, allowing them to rest within the silence out of respect for the solemn topic that's been brought up. She's aware that the weight of the situation will be worn down when she wakes up in the morning, that Brandon will still smile at her the same way and that she won't feel as guilty for reminding him of painful times.
Mizuki has always assumed that his connection towards his family was rooted in the simple fact that he bears an innocent and pure-hearted personality, not a trauma he sought to fix through running and coming back with the hope it'll be better.
