Cursing under his breath, Brandon rushes through the field, cutting through the grass with his swift feet until he feels a warm-cool sticky substance leak onto the cusp of his palm.
Brandon pauses in his tracks, lowering his head in shock and with just a quick look, he finds that she's bleeding out onto his palm. Blood from her battered arms seeps out through the cracks of his fingers, plummeting onto the grass below loudly.
"We need to heal her when she's back. Do we know anyone who can do that?" Kaito blurts in a grim voice, with no real panic but anxiety evident in his tone.
Brandon tightens his grip on Mizuki and scrunches his face in disturbance, continuing to push through till he reaches the inn. Kaito quickly follows when he realises he's been left behind, calling out to Brandon repeatedly but getting no response.
