Hinata stiffens, gulping. He can barely find it in himself to face Mizuki fully, only being able to observe her through glances from the corner of his eye. It's true, he's been so, so guilty and because it's been so difficult to hide from himself, it's been harder.
He wishes he could get about his day without noticing Mizuki's so vividly lacking presence, or the burdens of his mistakes coming back to shoot him in the foot.
Truthfully, all Hinata has wished for in a while was for her forgiveness and now that this chance is right at his feet, it feels too difficult to snatch so shamelessly. Hinata can tell, from the uncertainty of Mizuki's voice, that she doesn't want to make up, only because she's obligated to.
It's not the type of person he can bring himself back to, even ignoring foggy judgement.
